They seemingly are splitting snaps equally for everyone (Scott higher because Nickel) but I legit haven’t seen their names even mentioned lol hard to imagine a better unit in CFB up to this point. We’ve had what? 2 major completions?

I’m sure someone can get you the full grades but I threw @Calinative ’s numbers from the weekly recaps into a quick spreadsheet and here are the season totals for our top 8 in the backend

These shorts are gona age well when they look back

WTF is this stat then? Minimum 4 targets? Fitzgerald has 2 targets and 2 picks.

Early has played well as a SS. He has made a big leap from last season. I would not be scared to throw at him. He looks like a difference makers in run support this season and we are still going to run on them.

Didn't Brown give up the long pass vs USF? or did they consider him a safety on the play... it was his deep 1/2 or 1/3.
Frederique gave up the long pass against USF. I do think there is a pass yardage missing from the data though, let me take a look.

Okay, the scramble drill completion. I’m assuming that’s the one they’re attributing to Damari but the yardage wasn’t in there. 43 yards, updated below.

He acted like a tool during his recruitment so hard to like the kid. But he looked much improved vs. Bama. The other two schools are laughable so can't evaluate his abilities based on those games.

We have not faced a team that is able to forward pass consistently. The numbers are not reflective of anything yet. If you want to draw a conclusion wait until after Louisville.
Yeah Small sample size. I would say what we've shown when we have been attacked deep has actually been poor so far. But yeah pretty much irrelevant for the future. Low sample size and completely different teams.

ND was starting a Freshman QB in his first start on road. They threw like 11 screens/RPOs and only 6 total passes >10 yards downfield, and pretty sure their main big completions came on extended plays. We were also correctly selling out against run and short passes.

Bethune doesn't matter.

USF just got bullied most of the game but threw a few crossers and a 2 deep balls that hit. They had like 12 total passes >10 yards downfield. But they also have a running threat at QB and Run at pace usually.

Lagway legit only attempted 4 attempts >10 yards and none >20 yards, and completed none. And we completely dominated their OLine.

What we have shown that is absolutely great is our pass rush in clear pass situations. Against Louisville I don't expect their QB to be a threat to scramble either, so I'd expect a dominant pass rush game there. Their RB room is also a threat to pop big plays. SMU and NCSt will be interesting too. Syracuse qb out for season, so we'll see about the backup. Even in an ACC Champ scenario I don't see a pass threat among likely opponents.

Yeah he’s a difference maker cause their DLine is ****. 3 of their 5 leading tacklers are DBs.

Our secondary hasn’t been tested a lot, mostly due to our defensive line play ( a secondary’s best friend)
