Carson Beck to the other teams defense in our losses

I thought dude was solid after FSU he got me.. str8 *** like i suspected, I was disappointed when we didn’t get Mateer
Mateer should've been the 1 and only option. Throw the whole budget at him. I wasn't too disappointed with Beck...but I didn't think his arm would be ready if Im being honest. It still looks weak to me now. Its certainly not accurate. But to miss all those open checkdowns is a decision making problem. He's out there playing to get drafted and it shows. Takes the ******* checkdowns and we are having different conversations week over week.

…announcers said during the first half about their conversation earlier this week with Dawson?

According to them, Dawson said that last season they knew they had a horrible defense so they had to let Cam score as much as possible to keep us in games. He said that this season they are trying to score 28 points per game, and that 28 should be good enough to win any game.

What kind of corch says crap like this? It’s obvious that he got his marching orders from Wario before the season. That would explain why we stopped playing aggressively against ND and Florida State after being ahead big in those games. Good/great coaches want to beat the dog ***** out of other teams. These corches have killed our team’s spirit and confidence by playing not to lose.
It’s probably written on a laminated card in his back pocket next to the word Analytics.

I agree he wasn’t too bad today but his lack of mobility is holding this offense back in a major way because he’s not talented enough as a pure passer.

The crazy part is b4 the szn ppl were saying the offense would be more efficient because Beck will take checkdowns..welll welll welll

On that play where we got called for illegal man downfield Fletcher was WIDE open for a first down immediately but MR check down Beck completely missed him 😭😭😭

NGL...I was one of them. Only because Cam was SOOOO bad at it, anything was a step up. And they are there....like every play. Dawson does a good job of getting a player to the flats like every play.

I agree...he's not a very good pure passer. And Im not sure if its because of his arm, draft status, or decision making. ****, it may be a combination of all three. It's always nice to have a qb with the ability to move around in the pocket or bail if need be...but if Beck just throws the ******* ball away to give the offense a chance to regroup....

Idk. Maybe. We got the F team announcers so I wouldn't put too much stock into it. I'm pretty sure they're both retarded.

I WAS JUST THINKING OF THIS PLAY when I was replying gto you. I was like "THROW THE ******* BALL AWAY...WE'RE GONNA GET CALLED FOR HOLDING!!" didn't even consider illegal man downfield. :snoopfacepalm:

I would love to see the clip with that in it.

I've never been a fan of letting off the gas at any point, even if you put the second team in. When things are working, keep doing it until it doesn't, don't get cute and go away from those things. This allows you to get the second and third team in which you run like it's the first team.

Sure, you might think a point total will get you the win, but you don't coach to that point total. You shoot your shot for more.

Absurd thought process if it's really thought about that way amongst the coaches. As an OC'er, you want to put as many points on the board as you can, raise your stock, and then move up the ladder from there.

Ahhh.........he is actually correct. We only need to score 28 points a game. Only problem is...we aint doing it. I've said this for 2 years. We score 28+ every game, we win every game.

What you believe to be your upper goal - will be your limit.

What an asinine BS calculation. You jump ahead, you put your boot on the back of your opponent's neck - and pour it on.

I understand numbers - trends - percentages - but intuition and feel enable one to perceive, instantly analyze, and alter your trajectory - or inhibit an opponent's trajectory.

Our QB - he's got skills - but he's often about a second and a half - off. Open, open, second and a half - NOT open. PULL THE TRIGGER when you see it - don't think!

I mean... Maybe they should just stop failing to score 28 first of all....

My intent isn't to say 28 should be the goal. 28 is the threshold imo. I have always been in the "blow them the **** out camp" But statistically, we score 28, we win. (With a few other variables, but still).

Yes, sir. I was in shock when they said that Dawson told them that. I don’t see why they would lie about it either. They were specific about what he said.

I'm not suggesting they'd lie, but I like seeing those things myself as it's just human nature to mix some words up. It'd be better if what Dawson said was actuallt captured. Crazy any which way and close to the truth anyhow I'm sure.
