Still don't understand the NJ hate. Our roster only has a few from NJ and some of our greats (Green, Stubbs, Olsen, McKinnie) have been successful from there. The misconception is that we have always been a team of South Florida players when the reality is that we have been cherry picking the entire US for years. Players from Texas, California, Ohio, NY, and Pennsylvania have been key performers for us.
Just look at the TE position, there has only been one drafted from South Florida since 1988 (Gordan, Walford will be) while (Cleveland -CA, Epps -VA, Graham - NC, Olsen - NJ, Everett - TX, Winslow - CA, Shockey - OK, Fulcher - KS, Franks - CA) were from out of even the state of Florida. This looks similar with the QB and OL position.
You take the best player available no matter where he is from. Ties go to the local kid.
