Not sure recruiting is Richt's problem. In fact, his team is usually loaded every year. He doesn't win big games.

You need a QB to win in college unless you're Nick Saban. Richt let two Heisman QBs leave. Same reason Mack Brown failed at Texas.

Newton would have lasted a month at UGA. He got kicked out of motorcycle gang that was UF when Urb was there.

I understand that QB is an important position, but Richt has had some great ones and still hasn't won big games. Matt Stafford comes to mind right away. Aaron Murray was another great college QB. Great college HCs could win a championship with either of those guys at the helm.
