Any word on Banda

This is very very very common across all fields.

Ever heard the saying "the fastest way to a promotion is changing companies".

If you are good at your job (or perceived to be in this case). Often times, once you leave or give the impression you are going to leave, your boss will offer you more money or a promotion to stay.
Or make your boss look so good he gets a promotion and you take his job.

Because the mob is fickle, he didnt pull in any of the top guys that the nerd recruiting sites they follow say is tops, it doesnt matter that he helped to coach the #1 pass defense in the nation last year, are around #19 this year in passing yards allowed, and right now we are around #12 in total defense, although i do think blake baker is definitely the weak link, with those stats, it would've been foolish to get rid of any assistant that was in place coaching the defense last year cause obviously they were not the problem, the only new guys in place on defense is stroud, baker and patke, so if we had a drop off from last years defense it would've came from those 3, and with us having the #19th ranked rushing defense and are #6 in the nation in sacks, it can clearly be determined, coach stroud is NOT the weak link!

Also, never mind the coaching job coach banda did with robert knowles, if a coach can get robert knowles to be the best tackler on the team, and actually not be a liability but an asset on defense, thst's a coach that knows WTF he is doing, so when he gets his hands on better talent, although he's already proven it, we already know what level he can coach them up to, when bolden was back their with hall, this defenses definitely started playing at a different level. Hopefully he recovers as strong as rousseau did from his ankle injury, and with coach feely on deck, he definitely seems like he'll be in good hands.

We starting to look like our numbers are right where they should be when it comes to the safety spots, and im sure the emphasis is going to be on the cornerback come Feb, and the next recruiting class, but coach diaz is kidding himself talking about "we have to improve Miami's talent'" WTF does that mean, its already talent here, we lost 5 games by 7 points or less, that's all on coaching, schemes and player development, this team had enuff talent to go beat those 5 teams, and when you consider the 2 teams we lost to by more than 10 points, duke and Louisianna Tech, this team should technically have 1or 2 losses this year only and that's to more than likely Clemson in the ACC championship game and of course we would've had a way better bowl opponent.

Had coach richt stayed, we not losing 7 games, that's for sure! The only saving grace for coach diaz right now is the defense was built up strong the last 4 years and has alot of young talent waiting in the wiings being groomed, as long as the defense remains one of the top ones in the nation and the ACC, that'll be the only thing that might buy manny more time, otherwise, we know the drill!
Not reading this whole thing but I saw only one sentence and it was enough for me.

Knowles is still not a good player. He’s gone from being a 0/10 to a 3/10, thats not impressive. His play started off strong and tapered off drastically, taking terrible angles and having slow reactions.

Then add in that Gurvan doesn’t look like anything special and Bolden who’s been here the least looks to be the best safety, I don’t know how you think Banda is Miami quality.

I’d be less than surprised to hear that Manny decided to keep Rumph because he knows Banda isn’t the one doing the teaching. Banda is not it.

Everything you said is wrong. Stop making excuses for these losers and pull your head out of the sand. Banda is coaching this level of talent because this is the talent he has recruited and been able to land. And that story can be repeated across a number of positions.

there is no "used to bartend in college" about it

you obviously don't follow this forum as close as you think you do because the person/past player that is most in tune with this team on this forum has already informed everyone that banda doesn't do a single fcking thing in terms of coaching, rumph coaches both the safeties and the corners.
so he bartends now on top of not really being a safeties coach ?...and Rumph coaches the corners and safeties?..is This more credible info then a coach pulling a gun on a kid on the team?

Apparently Banda never even coached the safeties..it was all Rumph coaching 2 position groups at once ..and Banda still bartends now

That’s been stated numerous times by multiple people.

a group of:
Keontra smith, Derrick smith, Carter, hall, Harrell, Balom, Washington do not belong at Miami?
With all due respect to these guys, what have any of them done? Hall has not developed like he should have. Carter is still taking **** angles and missing tackles. Smith transferred. Three haven’t even set foot on campus, and Keontra played sparingly as a freshmen.

Banda makes 500k.

He would be lucky to make 200k elsewhere.

UTSA DC job pays 250k max.

Our assistants are amazingly overpaid. Manny used the massivley increased coaching budget to reward his buddies on the defensive side of the ball instead of going out and getting better coaching talent.
Wow, I never knew Banda made half a million dollars a year. That’s ridiculous, he’s stealing money. This program is such a mess, it’s unbelievable. They love wasting money and getting no results. What a bunch of incompetent idiots in this athletic department.

LoL, if you didnt see knowles improvement as a player, remind us to never put you on the scout team. That man ended up being the highest rated tackler on the team or top 2, so when you talking he regressed, when, the question is did he improve. You mentioned gurvan, God Willing let's see how gurvan hall looks his going into his 3rd year in before you start casting that type of judgement on amatuer athlete's. Let's see how the boys look next year, i saw people bashing ivey as if he was trash, lol, that man showed his True cover skills when he went up against dubois from UVA and tammarion terry, we straight with him on one side!

I don't know for a fact that Banda is still bartending on the side but I remember when he first got here he was working as a bartender for some event planning company in Miami. They throw company parties, weddings and bar mitzvahs etc
