Any word on Banda

FSU's assistant salary pool is approx 5 mil.

I believe Miami's is very close.

If Enos was making 1.5, where did the rest go?

Second time today I’ll ask you to back up a statement with some shred of proof. First that we’ve made multiple $1.5 million OC offers and have been turned down and now that our assistant pool is $5 mil and Banda makes $500k.

Do you have any backing for anything you’re saying?

In previous days there were rumblings he might leave to take on more responsibilities at another school.

Updates....

Happy New Year

Banda makes 500k.

He would be lucky to make 200k elsewhere.

UTSA DC job pays 250k max.

Our assistants are amazingly overpaid. Manny used the massivley increased coaching budget to reward his buddies on the defensive side of the ball instead of going out and getting better coaching talent.

I hate Manny, but Richt gave them those raises.

At least troll with accuracy.

So...Richt promoted them because they were leaving?

This is very very very common across all fields.

Ever heard the saying "the fastest way to a promotion is changing companies".

If you are good at your job (or perceived to be in this case). Often times, once you leave or give the impression you are going to leave, your boss will offer you more money or a promotion to stay.

Guess I was being too unintentionally anal with his wording. Promoting someone to persuade them from leaving as opposed to promoting someone because they are leaving.

No way Enos was making 1.5 million here. That’s some pie in the sky number that someone plucked out of thin air.
IMO a more realistic number would be around 1 million.

Ah that makes sense. I wasn't sure if you where just unaware of that happening in business.

You would be surprised how many people think "staying loyal to their company" gets the best results and end up sticking at the same job, same position for many many years, racking up their 1% raise each year. Thinking that is the best option for themselves.
