Any thoughts on Howard?

Talked to his mom after the game. She was sitting with Malcolm Lewis and Duke's parents. Pretty lady.

She retweed something a tweet I wrote about Tracy a couple days ago. Seems like a great mom.

He's going to struggle playing in such a loose zone. Might as well expect it now. Not even going to get into the specifics now, but some of our defenders truly have no idea what they're doing playing zone. BC didn't even do a great job of flooding areas and they still had guys running completely free.

For most of our new players yes. For Howard I don't think he'll struggle as much. We've already heard and seen how much of a student of the game and how much he studies and watches film. I think because of his work ethic and football smarts it won't be as hard for him to adapt as some other freshmen.

Yea put me in the camp of wanting to see our young dbs play man already. This weak *** zone didn't work last season and it allowed Chase Rettig to look like Tom Brady today. Of course our dline needs to help as well but still.

Then we go to man, and TEs and RBs are running free.

We just need to get better.

How would that be any different than what happened in zone then? The RB's in particular made several big plays out of the backfield with no one picking them up.

BC tried to test him late in the 4th with a deep throw....Howard wasn't having any of that.
