Had a pretty informative press conference yesterday. I know he is new so results can't be measured. I see him as a straight forward tell it like it is guy. He and Manny worked together in the past and they seem to carry similar styles. I think he appears to be layed back good ole Southern boy but can turn on the energy. He gets excited about what we have in the way of talent. Talks about Dline rotating in and out so being 1rst string carries limited weight. My prediction just a gut feeling this guy is tough as nails and you better do things right or you will be replaced a tradition we need to uphold. But in modern times often ignored.

Not really 🤔

Good credentials...his approach and concepts seem to be being embraced by the players and Manny

Lets see how he functions in game conditions. Can he plan , can he adjust, can he place our players and get the most out of them to insure the team's success

That can only be evaluated after this game and those that follow.

I wish him well

5 ringz has a great podcast with Blake Baker. In that podcast he also mentioned Will Muschamp having a big influence on him. Blake was a GA under Muschamp at Texas. Like one poster mentioned, his D at La Tech produced a player who led the nation in sacks. I'm sure we'll see some Manny, some Muschamp, and some things that are unique to Blake.

I'm sure he is going to implement Manny schemes but I thought by all accounts the defense is his?

I recall hearing a Manny quote that he is more involved with defense than offense (understandably). That's his baby and I am sure he has veto power.. I think he will let Blake scheme and call plays but will not be hands off like he will probably be with the offense if things are going south on that side of the ball. Just my take. Could be wrong.

I think he does some thing that will help us field a good run defense. I'm curious about the pass defense though.

I have no doubts there will be some new wrinkles not seen under Diaz. I also have no doubts he discussed ideas with Diaz before implementing them.. No defense will ever be as perfect as some think they should be but this defense will be very good,

We will notice that Baker and Manny combining talents on Coaching D, will benefit the game progression, and adjustments of our D all year.
Will be interesting to watch, especially in the 2 nd half of games.

Got 50 yard line seats for NC because the **** ACC Network is not on Comcast.
What a sh** Company, but will be great to see our TNM in person...
..
Let's play some ball...and we owe NC a beat down for Brax if nothing else.......
