....the reality of our wretched program in order to fool 17 year olds into committing should be banned from this site.

We have grown men here suggesting that we pretend that everything is ok so that we can fool kids into coming to this University, to play for a coach who will hamper their draft status and bring them years of losing.

That is vile behavior. These kids deserve better. They deserve a real ****ing coach, and if Miami won't give them one, they deserve to have their dreams fulfilled at a program that cares.

In fact, tweeting kids about how the program is in shambles and how the coaches suck and how the locker room is a mess when you're just some dude with no real connections to the program is manipulating and fooling 17 year old kids especially when these kids have far more access to the inside of the program through means of recruiting than anyone on this board does.

Every single recruit knows far more about the current program than every single person on this board knows. Why? Because they actually talk to the players.

Tweeting recruits just makes our fan base look even more retarded than it actually is. It's embarrassing.

No the coaches simply pair them with the players that are going to tell them everything is great around Miami. I can promise you Tracy Howard, Walter Tucker, Gus Edwards, Herb Waters, etc those that have been public or just shown they are done with this staff, they don't allow them around any of the recruits. They allow the ones that suck the coaches off everyday to be involved with the recruits.

If they are only hearing from the coaches what is going on then they are being blind sided. Besides it's not like they don't see the reality from the outside, these kids from Miami know exactly what is going on. Shawn Burgess-Becker has came out before and said he would 100% be a cane if they had a different staff, preferably Butch Davis. Same goes for Calvin Ridley.

These kids aren't going to be playing a home game one day their Freshman year and look up in the sky and see a banner saying "fire Al golden" and have no idea what's going on. They know.

I'm not sure I understand your perspective.

You're agreeing with me that the recruits know more than we do, yet at the same time you think the fans have a responsibility to make sure recruits aren't "blindsided" and therefore you believe tweeting recruits disrespectful, vulgar messages is a smart move?

I don't follow the logic.

If recruits know what we do (they do because it's all public information) plus whatever they hear from recruiting calls, campus visits, player interaction, etc. then how would the fans be able to protect recruits from being blindsided?

The only thing these fans are doing is sending disrespectful, vulgar messages that provide no value whatsoever -- no new information -- while simply being in poor taste because of the rude nature of the messages.

If we had some inside information, like if we knew the school was about to be hit with an NCAA investigation and that info wasn't public, then you could tweet recruits and spin it as the "right thing to do" if you felt like helping FSU, Bama, OSU, etc. snag all the top recruits.

Until then, everyone should just be quiet and let these kids make their own decisions.

Well if Golden is such hot siht, what difference does our voices make? If Golden didn't already suk more than a black hole, how could our voices make any difference?

This is just like the lying-assed military recruiters of years past. Tell kids anything to get them in, and once in, they're screwed.

Why would any grown man want to deceive, lie about, or otherwise misrepresent UM football as long as Foldin is the coach. These kids get one college shot, and any kid that has talent would do much better taking his skills, speed, and talent elsewhere. Anywhere but UM.

The school wants to play games, fine. The best suicides are those who shoot their damned selves.

Please. There are people on this board all the time complaining when UM is too straight with a player and loses them, a la Anquan Boldin.
Everyone knew Bowden was lying to him about getting a chance to play QB, and most people here wanted our coaches to promise him a shot at QB, fully knowing after one year he would be switched to a wide receiver. There have been a lot of kids like that, and our fans would gladly lie to them to get them to sign.
Recruiting is dirty. It is all about lying. Do you think the promises Saban or Jimbo make are anything else? It's all about who is the better con man, and having the better product just makes it eaasier to con everyone.

The program is in a bad spot and the coaches suck. However, kids are still going to the NFL. Why the **** would we tell them not to come and make it harder on our next coach? Let's be loud and make a stand to get the coaches fired but telling kids not to come here is stupid.
