....the reality of our wretched program in order to fool 17 year olds into committing should be banned from this site.

We have grown men here suggesting that we pretend that everything is ok so that we can fool kids into coming to this University, to play for a coach who will hamper their draft status and bring them years of losing.

That is vile behavior. These kids deserve better. They deserve a real ******* coach, and if Miami won't give them one, they deserve to have their dreams fulfilled at a program that cares.

Shutting the **** up is not "manipulating and fooling 17 year old kids." It's simply not being a whiny punk.

In fact, tweeting kids about how the program is in shambles and how the coaches suck and how the locker room is a mess when you're just some dude with no real connections to the program is manipulating and fooling 17 year old kids especially when these kids have far more access to the inside of the program through means of recruiting than anyone on this board does.

Every single recruit knows far more about the current program than every single person on this board knows. Why? Because they actually talk to the players.

Tweeting recruits just makes our fan base look even more retarded than it actually is. It's embarrassing.

No the coaches simply pair them with the players that are going to tell them everything is great around Miami. I can promise you Tracy Howard, Walter Tucker, Gus Edwards, Herb Waters, etc those that have been public or just shown they are done with this staff, they don't allow them around any of the recruits. They allow the ones that suck the coaches off everyday to be involved with the recruits.

If they are only hearing from the coaches what is going on then they are being blind sided. Besides it's not like they don't see the reality from the outside, these kids from Miami know exactly what is going on. Shawn Burgess-Becker has came out before and said he would 100% be a cane if they had a different staff, preferably Butch Davis. Same goes for Calvin Ridley.

These kids aren't going to be playing a home game one day their Freshman year and look up in the sky and see a banner saying "fire Al golden" and have no idea what's going on. They know.
 
yes, program is in such shambles that multiple players have finished at All Conference and will be rewarded for that by being drafted in the first few rounds of NFL Draft.

it's in such shambles that it sold the most tickets in recent seasons.

if you are truly frustrated, how about you quote, unquote REAL Canes fans do something meaningful to change status quo?

6-7. 4 game losing streak to end the year. One team didn't make a bowl, two others barely made bowls at 6-6. First Miami coach since the late 70s to lose seven games in a season that wasn't his first on the job.

Absolutely shameful. Some people are just so fckg selfish that they are willing to gamble these kids collective futures away in hopes that Golden suddenly slips, falls, bumps his head, and all of a sudden awaken to know how to coach.

You give Butch time to prepare against the level of competition he would've faced in a bowl game when his team was 5-6/6-6 and like his chances.

Eh, I'm not so sure about that, especially that year. Butch wasn't the best gameday coach out there. Evaluated talent like no other, though.

Well if Golden is such hot siht, what difference does our voices make? If Golden didn't already suk more than a black hole, how could our voices make any difference?

This is just like the lying-assed military recruiters of years past. Tell kids anything to get them in, and once in, they're screwed.

Why would any grown man want to deceive, lie about, or otherwise misrepresent UM football as long as Foldin is the coach. These kids get one college shot, and any kid that has talent would do much better taking his skills, speed, and talent elsewhere. Anywhere but UM.

The school wants to play games, fine. The best suicides are those who shoot their damned selves.
 
I agree, we should lie and watch them all become a bunch of Vaughn Telemaques, Ramon Buchanons, Graig Coopers, with the occasional Travis Benjamin/Sam Shields success story mixed in. That'll solve everything that is wrong with the program the last 13 years.

It's really frustrating to see people genuinely suggest this, and to do so in such a concerted effort as to suggest its orchestrated is what makes it all the more obvious that the **** this program and administration is taking is well earned and necessary.

Actively telling recruits to **** off is dumb. Giving the administration and coaching staff the **** they deserve? That's necessary. Two very different things. If recruits see through the bull**** Golden is shoveling, so be it. I'd rather it take 7 years and be done the right way than have Golden waste more kids talent and see them flipping burgers in six years because he cares about himself and that's it.

With 2014 roster? No

And if you are alluding to Butch's first year with the Canes he was 8-3 and didn't get to bowl BC ncaa.
But in his third year, second w full sanctions and we self imposed seven his first, he went 5-6.
Butch didn't have enough players to hit in practice. Santana Moss was on a track scholly.
We were down 23 scholarship players. And Butch lost six games.

So yeah, the two are comparable . . .

The good news is that apparently we, the fans, are now more of the threat to Golden and the administration than the cloud ever was. They have campaigned harder against us the last couple weeks than they did in three years against the ncaa. Cane Fans RULE !!!!!!!!!

The program is in a bad spot and the coaches suck. However, kids are still going to the NFL. Why the **** would we tell them not to come and make it harder on our next coach? Let's be loud and make a stand to get the coaches fired but telling kids not to come here is stupid.
