Any OC or DC’s to be considered for HC job at Miami?

Ok maybe he can come be the OC for the new HC. He won’t even be considered. He’s never run an offense alone. Hiring him as a HC in college where he’s also not coached with recruiting and running a program is asking for a disaster. Oh well, now that I put those points out, he will prob be considered heavily bc this admin is lost.
First why would he be the OC at Miami when he is the OC for Patrick Mahomes? Second he schemes up all the Chiefs red zone plays. All those trick plays they come up with at goal line are plays he draws up. Even the players and coaches have said that.

Perhaps..we don’t know, or at least, majority don’t know his reason(s). Top 5 DC, recruits Florida well, understands the Dynamics well, knows what winning it ALL looks like and what it takes…

Miami could do much worse…
He ain't going anywhere as long as his kid is at Clemmie

So Reid let’s him draw up plays out of the sand for fun. Ok let’s hire him to run a college football program. LMAO

I'm definitely not a dolphins fan but the same was definitely said about Saban. Check the history with Saban. Dolphins leaders like Zach Thomas tried to fight the guy when he was there. So did Dante Culpepper. He played the same 'tough guy's games but it doesn't work with MEN, as most NFL players are actual Men.

I would be on the fence on O'Brien if his resume didnt look very similar to Sabans. Both were given the keys to an organization. O'Brien actually ran a successful organization before he went all Kim Jong Il and didn't adjust to a newfound players league.

Saban led the dolphins to playoffs once in two years, before bolting to Bama. O'Brien, in 6 seasons, won the divisional 4 times. O'Brien definitely had more success as a HC in the NFL than Saban did.
Saban didn't make the playoffs at all.

**** no! Guy isn’t even a real OC working with a once in a lifetime talent at QB under on of the top 5 coaches of all time. There is a reason he isn’t being hired and it’s not bc he’s black so get that lazy excuse out of the way.
Well what would that reason be. Lazy excuse? Foh, if you don't like that there's a proven bias against st hiring Black head.coaches in the NFL then that's YOUR problem but don't dare pretend that's not real. Lazy excuse my a**

So what on O’Brien’s “achievements” at the NFL. He has done nothing compared to what Saban has done in college.

There is a huge gulf there between the two. They don’t compare at all!!!!!

I'd say winning a SB as an OC with the patriots and his success with the texans should never be ignored. The Texans won their division 4 of the 6 years he was there. Winning any division 4 of 6 years isnt easy at all. Remember, there are 3 other professional teams trying to win also. He was given the added duties of GM because of his success as HC, which ultimately led to his demise.

He was clearly more successful in the NFL then Saban was. And, he has experience rebuilding a program from the group up, as he showed at PSU. And, I'm sure he's picking up some 'tricks' from his time now at Alabama.

Gentlemen, put your feeling away. He's definitely a qualified candidate and should be atop our list.

That division is never really good so I will give you that win despite him mostly going 9-7 those years & of course the Penn St years. You know who else won with the Patriots? Everyone from McDaniels to Fat Charlie.

O’Brien didn’t do much winning despite having a core of Clowney, Hopkins, Watson & JJ Watt.

Maybe he’s meant to be a college coach where he can control kids instead of grown professional men. I am just not sold on him at all. He has that dirt bag feel to him for me where he can’t be trusted.

He does come off as a "my way or the highway" type of coach, but maybe that's he type of guy these kids need. And maybe he's learned a thing since his time in Houston.

Definitely agree that he has a "dirt bag" vibe. But then so do Hugh Freeze, Lane Kiffen, Urban Meyer, etc that everyone is clamoring for and that doesn't seem to be a detraction for those candidates. I think he should be on the list...just not atop the list. He is also a realistic candidate where many of the others are not. From our realistic candidates, he is as qualified as any of them. He should be a call just not your only call. Definitely not a slam dunk candidate. If for nothing else than to interview him, see his plan, judge his character/personality/organizational fit.

The outlook isn't great for a slam dunk hire. We can't or won't pay for Mario Cristobal. Fickell, Campbell, and a few other names aren't coming here. So, you're going to be left with choosing amongst a group of mid-tier candidates at best. That probably looks like a list comprised of Stoops, Napier, various OCs, etc. Hopefully there is a true change of focus and direction in the Hecht that changes that but if they operate now how they always have it'll be something of a letdown initially...

Brady could be the young innovative coach we need.

From what I’ve read, he has no interest In coaching in college again. Lsu was a springboard, he hated recruiting and he always had his eyes set on the pros. Sure, you can make him say no but I think that’s a pipe dream.
