Perhaps..we don’t know, or at least, majority don’t know his reason(s). Top 5 DC, recruits Florida well, understands the Dynamics well, knows what winning it ALL looks like and what it takes…

I agree, but I thought I had heard a while back that he had no interest in being a HC and was content being a coordinator.
On the flip side, Bama can't keep a coordinator longer than a season these days.

Honestly I think Like eons The Bama offensive line makes the offense look better then the play calling actually is but i wouldn't mind trying out Bill O'Brien

This potential list is pretty small to non existent

The two most recent successful examples (Ryan Day ; Lincoln Riley) were both identified as successors and groomed to take over their respective teams.

Even Sam Pittman was an AHC at multiple stops before getting a shot.

If I’m forced to go this route

Bendenbaugh - OK
Gundy - OK
Elliot - Clemson
Venables- Clemson

But we need a proven guy so it’s a mute point

If they’re going to consider someone with no coaching experience I’d hope it’s a NFL OC with college ties.

Joe Lombardi, Joe Brady & Eric B are 3 I’d consider. None have been a HC but they know CFB & can “scheme“ big O.

Josh McDaniels is interesting as well. He’s had plenty of NFL chances but stayed with NE.

Anthony Lynn is one to consider as well.

I’m not too hype about Bill O Brian. Don’t think he did much at PSU. He did sign a top QB in Christian.

No to Kellen Moore, Byron Leftwhich. They’re just too green.

**** no! Guy isn’t even a real OC working with a once in a lifetime talent at QB under on of the top 5 coaches of all time. There is a reason he isn’t being hired and it’s not bc he’s black so get that lazy excuse out of the way.
