Not that I am an expert on the topic, but you see "U" shirts and caps while traveling, even internationally, many more than other schools. Two of my friends first met each other overseas when they were each wearing U merch.

I put in for2 at virginia tech also found a hotel right next to campus which is hard to find because hotels charge 5 times the normal rate on game day weekends
