I somewhat agree with this statement. The admin needs to not renew D'No's contract. Under know circumstances should D'No should be allowed back on campus in January. That alone would make us a top 25 team. Becoming elite would require Golden learning from this and letting his coordinators coach to dominate opponents,play aggressively and win games.

Had we not been thru the firing of 2 coaches in the last 8 years and the NCAA mess i would have said just fire Golden and start over. We need some stability MINYS the DC position. Golden has done a great job recruiting considering he has had the NCAA sanctions over him and a ****ty zzz DC that's killing our D Line recruitment.

Does beamer not relinquish Power to bud foster for defense? Do other schools not do the same,? Coordinators matter and very rarely does a head coach do everything now. a figure head matters and say what you want but golden and Co are killing recruiting.

Of course I would rather win so if we get a different head coach that can do that I'm happy, I'm just saying if a new defensive coordinator with complete control to run whatever defense necessary could be successful under golden

Here's a question: I don't think we'll get what we want....Al gone...but if D'No leaves, EVEN THOUGH it's Al's system, what does that say about our D Coord hire? What happens here? Does Al just hand over the defense to someone? Is that even a possibility?

IF he does - which I highly, highly doubt - what are your thoughts?
 
**** a new D coordinator, that cop out ship has sailed. All the excuses this dude makes game after game, and you're still on board with him sticking around? ****. That.

Most weren't "Golden supporters" weeks ago, they were just supporting the Canes and believing for a good season. Never got the whole "slurpers vs mopes" thing. I was behind coach Golden 100% until the end of last season when he didn't fire D'No. As soon as he made the decision to keep the staff intact, all blame went to him for any failure going forward. It has backfired and now he must be held responsible and let go as Miami's coach. At this point even if he did give the defense over to a great DC the damage is done and change must be made.
 
I did like Golden, but he will be remembered as the coach that navigated the Program through the cloud!! On the field coaching has been pretty bad! Time to move onto somebody new. Coach D is coach Golden.

I hear his wife filed for a bane change and McDonalds is changing the arches to the Yellow Arches. ND is spray painting the Dome blue. And Pawn Stars has stopping taking gold. PSU wants it diploma back. I think Mark still supports him, but not sure that counts. Other than that, maybe his mom? Man I like the dude but he has got to go and go NOW.

I didn't watch them, but I suspect the answer is yes. Every week it's clear that the defense is not oriented toward dominating an offense. The goal is to wait and wait and wait for them to make blunders. Worse coaches and players will do that. But, better teams and coaches will not have these unprovoked errors in gameplanning and execution that Golden relies upon. At this level teams can't be relied upon to give the drive away, and you also can't rely on 4-5* players to be disciplined and content while getting bludgeoned with 5-10 yard plays. They wont stay with the system.
 
all they have to do is play an aggressive defense and we good. if there is any Golden suppuorters left, i feel for ya. i love our team and our players are so talented but our coaches are the worst

Golden needs to go. For the last 4 years he has been hanged, drawn and quartered by historic defensive ineptitude yet refuses to cry "Uncle!" and make the changes that everyone else with half a brain can see are necessary. During his Reign of Terror there are just too many examples of our team, on both offense and defense, getting beat ALL GAME LONG by the same basic formations, plays, players, wide offensive line splits (lmao), ect. while our coaches were unwilling and/or unable to make any adjustments to change the in-game narrative in any way. This coach and this staff are embarrassingly incompetent and have turned us into a laughing stock nationally. How can anyone in their right mind want anyone or anything associated with this clusterf*ck to continue in any form?
