Any early news on Frank Ladson?

Let's wait to see what he does in game or at a minimum after the first couple weeks of training camp. Didn't have a "great" spring, but that could change now when it matters.

And who cares how much weight he lifted in the summer or how his 7 on 7 performance was.

Producing? You mean in the off season ... when there isn't even practice going on? How about looking at how he actually performs in the month of August once pads are on. See how he does in the scrimmages .... then the two warmup games. Kid has his shot and has skills, hoping he puts it together and makes a major impact ... for him and for the Canes.

Well there wasn’t much buzz in spring from him and that was with guys like Brinson out. I’m taking X, both Smiths, and Brinson over him definitely. Then you have guys like George and the other transfer Young. It’s a rough looking group regardless so thankfully we’re loaded at TE and RB because they’re going to need to pick up the slack as receiving options in this offense.

If our WR group is rough I wonder what 100+ other teams think about theres? Never understood that about Miami/Miami fans. Theres coaches that would get on all 4’s & beg to have our room. Some very highly sought after & ranked guys. Coaching & development.
 
IIRC, Rambo was catching a ton of heat after repeatedly dropping passes during fall camp.
No one expected him to exit his Canes career as a single season record holder.

Ladson will be a player for us this year. Colbie Young pickup adds to the competition....if we had a Colbie or two during the Pope era, it might have actually pushed Pope to become a better player instead of knowing that regardless how he performed, he knew he was playing due to what/who was behind him on the depth chart.
