Any Dolphins fans on here? Smh

Dolphin season ticket holder for 36 years, saw every home game, traveled to Super Bowls, flew friends to New Orleans, went to practices. These days it's hard to follow a team of mercenaries that seems to change most of the roster year to year. After the taking a knee stunt I think I'll "take a knee" also and stand down while I look for a team with former Canes to follow.

Seriously some guys need to learn more about football.

This was just posted from Pro Football Focus:

Tannehill graded out the best of all Miami offensive players

Thats not saying much. Look at the game. We scored 10 freaking points. Who would have a higher score? The olinemen that weren't blocking well? The receivers that were dropping passes? The running backs that had nowhere to run? The tightends that didnt need to bother to dress for the game? The kicker that had a FG blocked?

Tannehill is a trojan horse. He looks the part, talks the part, and has a tremendous arm. But his ball placement is consitently off (generally slightly behind the receiver). So he makes easy completions become difficult completions. He makes it impossible for receivers to maximize yardage. The slow down and turn back to catch the ball, giving the defender a chance to catch up. End result? Its a completion, which makes Tanny rating/score fine, but the Fins get 8 yards instead of what should have been 12 or 14 (you get the point).

Aside from his ball placement, he has horrible pocket presence. He holds the ball too long and ends up taking sacks others wouldnt. Yes, the Oline isn't very good....but he makes them look worse then they really are.....the opposite of what a good QB accomplishes.

He also has trouble finding throwing lanes.....always leads the league in balls batted down at the line of scrimmage (this goes back to his college days).

In essence, he looks and feels like an Asset, but he's really hurting the team from within. We would have been better off drafting a complete dud, someone we could have benched and moved on from after a season or 2.

So basically Miami's offense sucks, Tannehill is the best player on that offense, but the Phins shouldn't have drafted him?

He has had to play for a lame duck HC, Lame duck OC, and behind one of the worst OL's in the NFL.

Is he perfect, NO, can he improve a lot, YES! With that said, he gets waaaay too much blame from ignorant Dolphin fans.

I don't agree with the accuracy statement, and the batted down passes stats is not accurate.

He didn't lead the league in batted passes in 2013 or 2015. Also part of the batted passes is the OL responsibility.

You don't agree with the accuracy statement? Are you blind? Every NFL game I watch, I'm jealous of the QBs on other teams. Trevor Siemian starting the first game of his career against a stout Panthers D? With the exception of 1 or 2 plays, looked great. Found a way to win. Jimmy Garoppolo starting his first game against a stout Arizona D on the road? Looked great, found a way to win. Tannehill finds ways to lose. He's been doing it since his time at Texas A&M. And, when we do happen to win, it is almost always in spite of him, not because of him.

Tannehill shouldnt have been a Top 10 pick, I don't care what your criteria is.....he's a coach killer. Lame duck HC? Lame duck OC? HE gets coaches FIRED everywhere he goes!

I guess I should have said "among the league leaders" in batted down passes. Not quite the same as "leads the league".

As for the Oline, it isn't good, but he makes it looks so much worse then it actually is......I'm watching TV coverage where they are comparing Brady's release time (0.34 seconds) versus Garoppolo (0.37 seconds).....they also showed Trevor Siemian at 0.35 seconds....meanwhile, you turn to the Dolphins game and there are plays where Tannehill holds the ball for OVER FIVE SECONDS before passing. Dude took 184 sacks over 4 seasons....yes the Oline is subpar, but HE is a significant contributor to that problem.
