Any chance

The fact there are still rats in the UM fanbase that don't consider 8 wins at UM in year 5 with a roster full of NFL talent a "total collapse" says everything.

Well, he didn't get fired after year 4 with only 6 wins and a bunch of NFL players on the roster. I think it's evident they aren't going to can him if they see what "they" think is progress.

I don't care what the administration says or does. I'm talking about UM fans. These people posting in here are supposedly UM fans, not UM administrators. UM fans shouldn't have their expectations lowered by the administration.

Homie needs to pull a rabbit out of his *** before I'd want him back (Aint happening). I can't believe any fan would be happy with an 8 win year after the way he's struggled year after year after year. IMHO that's the silver lining in our hot start Saturday. It's obvious we still have the talent to go out and wipe the floor with our opponents. Talent just isn't an excuse even if we are thin at a few positions. That's a positive for those of us who want him gone.

Al is gone. Keeping him this year was Donna's last power play. Informal search rumors will start once Al's gameday luck runs out.

If he doesn't get to the ACCCG he's fired

Another loser narrative: Get to the ACCCG, and all is well.

You notice the words being used, though? "Get to the ACCCG". It's no longer a goal to win the ACC for some. That got moved to "Win the ACCCG". Now we're at "get to the ACCCG". what's next? "Don't lose to FSU by 20"?
This one has been used already, in a way. Remember last year how people were so proud that we played 1 whole half of aggressive football against them, even though we totally blew a lead and handed the the game? I also remember some folks claiming moral victories in 2011 and 2012 because Golden "kept it close"

I absolutely have noticed the "get to the ACCCG" narrative being bandied about lately.

I call it the sliding scale of faqgitry. Pretty soon these turds will have it down to "try your hardest please" in a year or two.

If Golden makes it to 8-9 wins and they retain him I hope he finally pulls the plug on his buddy coach D.

I still cant see him here next year though.

Won't matter. This is Golden's defense so if he is retained he will just hire another smuck to basically run the same defense or mpromote somebody like Paul Williams...Only way we see a change is if Golden is gone. He's too stubborn and stuck in his ways. Al Groh style of defense doesn't work in Miami.

It also fits into the "Get to the ACCCG" mantra. They have already decided that it's impossible to expect UM to beat the Atlantic champion. So all these turds want to do is get there.

I'm not saying that's what I want, I want playoff runs, but getting the CG is whats being floated out there

Anything better than 6-7 and this admin keeps him ( and everyone else Al wants to keep on staff) citing improvement. That's my take.

Al Groh's defense doesn't work in college football period.
