We have a decent year, maybe go 8-4 and don't make the ACC Champ game, and Golden gets fired? Or do we have to have a collapse of a season again?

I don't care how low this program has sunk in the last decade, "8-4" is not a "decent year" at UM, especially considering how bad the ACC is.

Our fan base has lowered its expectations far below an acceptable level.

I agree, but in the minds of our incompetent AD and President (who may know nothing about our history and football-I don't know what his expectations are)

8-4 still seems like a down year in my eyes. If the noise gets loud enough calling for Golden's head then maybe.

I don't think he gets fired at 8-4 without some sort of off the field issue that adds to the reasons to push him out the hatch. I do think 7-6 could get him fired. Especially if we keep managing to have games like this past weekend where we look all world one minute and then collapse. That was the ideal game as far as I'm concerned. Talent level is still decent as evidenced by the hot play early. Coaching deficiency is also still evident despite the win with the stupid 4th qtr collapse. Don't forget whether we finish 8-4 or 7-5 or whatever in the regular season we WILL lose the bowl game (provided we make one). And that will leave a sour taste in the mouth at the end of the year no matter what.

If Golden makes it to 8-9 wins and they retain him I hope he finally pulls the plug on his buddy coach D.

I still cant see him here next year though.

Well with your uncanny support, Im sure both AG and dorito have a shot at having a long tenure at Miami. Remember we can be the next Mizzou!!!!

This is Goldens 5th season with a Miami team with talent matched in the ACC by only FSU and possibly Clemson. FSU is vulnerable because the passing offense is not yet worth mentioning. Clemson seem more like just Watson and them. GT and VT are both well coached and developed but neither unbeatable. In my opinion, if Miami dont win everybody outside of the four mentioned convincingly and win at least 2 out of the 4 mentioned he should be fired. If it was up to me, another lost to FSU would be it.

Forgetting about our annual 4/5 game collapse..It's a darn shame we can't play Beth-Cook, FAU and Arky State each week to really pad that win column..

The fact there are still rats in the UM fanbase that don't consider 8 wins at UM in year 5 with a roster full of NFL talent a "total collapse" says everything.

8 wins is not and never has been a "decent" year at Miami.

It's amazing how a program that has ridden multiple 20+ win streaks and has 5 national championships has been reduced to calling 8 win seasons "decent" and getting excited over 3-0 starts.

These guys are so beat down or just naturally weak-minded that it's almost hard to watch them flail.

Better start flying "Fire James" banners. The little **** head needs to know it is his head if he keeps Al.

Well, he didn't get fired after year 4 with only 6 wins and a bunch of NFL players on the roster. I think it's evident they aren't going to can him if they see what "they" think is progress.

I don't care what the administration says or does. I'm talking about UM fans. These people posting in here are supposedly UM fans, not UM administrators. UM fans shouldn't have their expectations lowered by the administration.
