How many Arkansas commits have we had? Trying to think back
brother offered & coach tweeting edits.
Yup. Only 1 recruit in the top 10 DLineman are 300+ lbs already - Richard Anderson who is 6'3" 335 and the #1 DLineman in Composite rankings (well technically 2nd cause Lamar Brown should be 1st if he wasn't listed as Athlete). You have two dudes listed out of 11/12 who weigh over 300. I point this out simply as an illustration to the folks who want just war daddies - they are rare asf.
@Calinative my comments are in no way a shot at you or anything you wrote. Some of our “fans” expectations are so incredibly impossible.
I’ve been saying 3 DTs but won’t fight you about 4.Not even sure how a guy listed 6'4" 341 and 6'2" 265lb are really competing for the same spot lol. In order by composite ranking:
Pure DTs:
Lamar Brown - 6'3" 285
James Johnson - 6'2" 285
Keshawn Stancil - 6'3" 260
Anthony Kennedy - 6'4 341
Tyson Bacon - 6'4" 265
Freddie Wilson - 6'2" 265
JJ Finch - 6'3" 278
EDGE/DT Tossups:
Nolan Wilson - 6'4" 250
Bryce Perry-Wright - 6'2" 250
Little to no traction:
Kendall Guervil - 6'4" 315
Btw surprised we have had no talk about recruiting Jermaine Kinsler....
Kamhariyan Johnson - 6'3" 265
No matter what imo we need 4 DTs in this class tbh. So if we have Kennedy and Bacon in the boat tomorrow, I think we need to land 2 top guys out of Brown/Johnson/Perry-Wright/Wilson.
Even though the later two are more fringe DTs that may just end up sticking at EDGE like Blount has, they could end up being DTs. So honestly if anything I'd say Freddie Wilsons spot is determined based on if we land 2 of those 4 or not...

The room needs a huge talent infusion.
Also, StancilSeems sudden. Hope this is a reaction to missing on JJ and the LA kid.
Everyone keeps mentioning 105. With Rev Share coming in, getting to 105 is going to be no easy task. In fact, most SEC and B1G schools are still staying around 85.View attachment 328966
I mean yeah look at our Eligibility Chart. I think with moving to 105 scholarships, over the next 2 seasons we need 7 HS DTs. We should have the expectation we will have some Attrition, which is fine. Take more asap and let the best survive after a couple years of development. It'll be money well spent rather than forcing yourself to rely on Portal for DT which is notoriously hard to get. I think 3 should be minimum yearly at DT and EDGE probably going forward.
As things stand for next season I think we should expect Scott, Simpson, and Jones to contribute. I think we are likely in a position that we either NEED Moten to return (I don't think is likely tbh) or will be hitting the portal for another top 1-yr portal DT for the 3rd year in a row - which again is hard to accomplish.
And hopefully for the following season Russell and Newton are ready to contribute, but what if they aren't and Justin Scott is good and declares early? The more the merrier I think.
D$ gets his info from the staff, he said they won’t be pursuing the kid, right after his visit and we didn’t hear any more about him till the latest bank. I’m just trying to get some clarity

How did it go from, “Miami will not be pursuing him” to he’ll be getting Freddie Wilson’s spot, out of nowhere?
Anyone know if he’s young for his class, similar to Simpson last year? He looks like 14 years old.
