I remember talking about this on myspace football message boards in the early 2000s, I expect flag football to be huge in the next decade esp with it becoming an Olympic sport. Because of injuries, CTE, and people getting smarter each generation, it was always trending this way. The NFL has already neutered the defenses and the game favors offenses. It has gotten stale and boring.

People will watch if the best in the NFL play in the Olympics. People already watch today's watered-down football, if it's all that's available you will watch.
