I'm not assuming Richt is a perfect decision maker. What I'm doing is acknowledging that he sees these kids every day. Anyone can make mistakes, but he knows a lot more than we do about the talent and ability of each guy. Since you brought up assumptions, what do you think you know that Richt doesn't?
That it's a waste of time to start a 5th year senior with a very limited ceiling and who isn't going to help win you anything meaningful this year. That it's smarter to go for it on 4th and 1 on your opponent's six yard line instead of kicking a FG when you are down 38-0 in the fourth quarter.
Where's the list of downsides to playing a younger and more talented QB over an older QB who can't accurately pass to open receivers and is a major cause for the team's recent four game losing streak?
