Just wanted to say hello to those of you who might remember me from this and other forums from the past. I have pulled back from engagement on Miami forums because it's just simply too predictably disappointing and depressing every year. I just see no reason for any further hope or optimism that Miami will ever rise above this contemptible state of affairs. I wish I felt differently. I wish I saw a glimmer of promise or reason to believe that somehow we had a reason to feel that there is any reason to think it will ever improve. But I do not. Miami football is the very last sport I care about and at this point that caring is quickly slipping away.

I'm in an argument with somebody in my Facebook group about this very topic they keep calling Mario elite at recruiting. He isnA- at best.

Mario is NOT an elite but good recruiter. It's going to get tougher for him to recruit because no one wants to play for a coach who is clueless.

Exactly. It's not like he's bringing in top 3 classes. He's a good recruiter, but a terrible game day coach. Why settle for that? Oh, because he's a Miami guy that "gets the Miami culture", or some BS.

Elite or good recruiter Mario has more than enough talent to make an ACC championship game. However you slice it Mario is underachieving and I think he should be fired.

Elite means top 5 every year. Doesn’t mean 1 or 2 but not being top 5 every year for $80m means you’re getting SWINDLED. He’s a horrendous football coach, if he’s not recruiting elite then why are we doing this

It was legit but I don’t think they planned on Beck being this bad. So on the bright side we CAN field a team good enough to compete for a championship.

@Memnon and myself spoke on what Beck was but people didn’t want to hear it . Tbh I thought with this OL and Dawson he wouldn’t be this bad or would be asked to do too much . But we drastically overpaid for what he is.

Should’ve just took Mendoza and threw the left over money at the rest of the team. They too busy trying to make a splash and be in the headlines

I actually am willing to cut Cristobal a tiny of slack. It was a bad eval and Mendoza would have committed without question, but few people expected Beck to THIS awful. He is a big reason our offense went from first in the country to an eyesore and why we are missing the playoffs again.
