Another reason why our Safety depth is an asset

Because of the stupid targeting rule. It seems like every season we get this called on us at the most inopportune time. It would be naive to think we will avoid this having 2 of the most aggressive safties at the point of contact.

I hate the rule, but at least we're loaded and deep at safety.

It should have been changed.

Guys shouldn't be penalized under the conditions:

Making a tackle/hit with yjour head up with their head up.

Leading with the shoulder without extending elbows.

Not launching.

Incidental contact to the head in these situations should be no calls like they always were. 95% of head shots come from receivers ducking into guys who were going low to AVOID targeting! It's stupid and gets abused by corrupt officials.
