Another Decommit!

I loved playoff Pete. His postgames were hysterical and really captured the euphoria we were all experiencing. The last few weeks though as an avid listener of the podcast he seemed almost grumpier. He seemed to want to contradict everything Dmoney would say. Also correcting the pronunciation constantly. Found that to be annoying. I would like Dannyboy to get a segment a week.

His video was pretty accurate, but I didn’t want him off football coverage. Just less shows per week. The daily show was too much to maintain peak energy IMO.

He will do a great job on his channel.
You did what you could do.

As somebody who has listened to 90% of the podcast shows over the last 15 months, I enjoyed Pete’s contrarian views. He kept it “real” when D$ would try and pump sunshine everyday. I didn’t always agree with him, but his views gave listeners a much more balanced perspective on state of the program and other teams. For example, D$ would argue that Baugh (the UiF RB) was garbage and Pete would immediately stop him and provide facts (statistics) showing that Baugh was a productive SEC RB. Again, a balanced perspective on our opponent.

I might be in the minority, but respectfully Steve Kim is not the answer as a permanent co-host. Steve’s walks down memory lane are occasionally great, but that’s not what I want to hear daily (and this comes from someone who attended the U during the glory days (1982-86). Would like to have somebody with access to insider information (recruiting, player development, coaching rumors, etc.), which is becoming scarce these days as D$ is too close to the program and can no longer provide the information most of us crave.

I do not disagree with the last paragraph. To be a daily host I really think you have to be embedded with the program (at least as a working member of the media) I'll be the the first to tell you that I am just a fan who makes observations

Sometimes less, is more in terms of being on

I agree with @Gables Cane re: state run media, and @Tony4Canes about the volume of pods, @423Hurricane about length, but to each their own. You like pods, listen. You don't, don't. You want state run media, great. You don't, great. It is Miami football - it does not need schtick reporting.

Of the one's I listened to, which were few, the ones with @k9cane refusing to drink kool aid when the offense was awful were the best. It wasn't schtick. It wasn't being negative to be negative. He was critical based on his view, experience and preference and reflected the results on the field before and after.

Pete brings and brought ALL the negativity he is getting in this thread on himself. It is also why all the enablers trying to police people giving @Trinton Breeze pieces of advice should encourage him to develop. Posters felt Pete acted like an asshat as a 15 year old. An asshat when he left in his early 20's. An asshat when he first came back and an asshat again as he leaves -- but now he's in his ******* 30s -- he's not a little kid. He never learned.

Many felt D$ never should have brought him back and questioned whether Pete owned part of the site, had incriminating evidence of D$ or if he just knew the clicks would be up be damned what anyone thinks of the content or the user experience.

AI, I give my unvarnished opinions -- and make it clear, it's just that, an opinion. With the understanding that it can change on results and production.

But there is never any agenda attached to them. Like you guys on here, I see things, try and understand them and then express it. And perhaps you try and add some flair and make it entertaining.

The emotion and abruptly leaving the show was bizarre behavior. Agreed with D$ showing patience. I will miss Pete's devil's advocate persona, but the recent "objectivity" being shown by him felt more like an act of a troll.

All that said, wishing Peter the best of luck. For those that weren't here after this site was launched after the Canestime exodus, he was miles ahead of guys like Ferman when he was in high school bringing us all the recruiting scoop. He did a lot to make this a great community during an awful era of UM football, and it wouldn't be where it is now without him.

I have great respect for Peter and consider him a friend, regardless of what happened recently.

Mr. Money, I officially throw my hat the ring as his replacement. I like talking about Miami Hurricanes sports. Also, I have a large thick eyebrows as well. That way the balance of the shot will not off when we on camera together. "Balance of the shot" look at me already big timin' it!

I think we should have a genuine illiterate in the podcast. This will bring mass appeal.
This is @BS85 's 2 year old son. I volunteer him as tribute so i don't have keep reading this piece of **** site to him/I can quit arguing with full grown men on his behalf.
