Another Decommit!

It's wild to me that all these CANES fans were so quick to line up and accept that degenerate secretary like they don't comprehend how much damage him and his boss and Co over at undrafted free agent management we're doing towards this program & our players in general. I get it. Not everyone is as informed as others. But do a lil research on that operation and the STORIES that come out of over there. Where there's smoke there's fire. These podcasts in general are insufferable to me with all the chain pulling but at least now MAYBE they'll be slightly more tolerable.

Love Peter like a brother but I think the daily show was limiting him. He has a lot of other interests in media and I will be right there with him.
I have a lot of other interest too doesn’t mean I get to do them.

I commend you for staying classy, but Pete I’m no longer associated with them is not exactly a sign of friendship generally. Thought it was pretty classless or immature in his response in contrast to yours.

My only question is who gets the unibrow in the divorce?

Some thoughts:

When they brought in that other producer a month or so back I realized Pete wouldn't be staying long.

The message he wrote is stupid, even if he didn't mean anything by it. You have to be careful with things like that.

Pete would seem very angry at times and I don't think it was shtick.

All that said, I enjoyed Pete's contrarian views. He was a good voice of reason in a sea of fans. He was also a character and one thing I learned from Howard Stern is that characters make for great radio. Lots of radio/podcast people try to be characters but the real ones are the best. Pete was a real one.

@DMoney, will you be holding a "Win Pete's Job" contest? We need our version of Artie Lange to succeed Pete "Jackie" Ariz.
The problem is that he has zero radio skills
And his voice sucks. He’s not a journalist. He’s a super fan at best

this is hilarious since isn't Danny Martinez the actual owner of the website and podcast?

From Claude AI: "The CanesInsight podcast, which covers the University of Miami Hurricanes, features a few key hosts and regular contributors:

  • Peter Ariz — the primary host, with the podcast described as being hosted by Peter Play Podcast
  • D-Money — a co-host who frequently appears alongside Peter, doing community Q&A sessions and other episodes together
Who is Danny Martinez ?

C'mon, give the guy a break. Nothing wrong with being pursuing better opportunities...
I know that nastiness on this board is a feature, not a bug, but still...
He’s getting the **** because his exit announcement was not at all classy with no appreciation. He brought it on himself.

I was irate at Pete and FRM back in the day. But when he came back he seemed like he had matured and learned a little more about game theory to understand you don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

For a while there Pete was generally likable and a moderating voice to the sunshine pumping going on in those podcasts. I enjoyed his post practice wrapups a lot.

Things definitely changed after Spring ball. Not sure what happened but I appreciate his contribution, wish him luck and look forward to hearing more from Ahmmon and Geo. Less Mike please.

I stopped watching because of him. Very smug and hated whenever the fanbase was optimistic. Crazy negative and Karen like. Mood swings galore. It’s one thing to be balanced, a realist and hold people accountable. To his credit he brought some aspects of that to the table. But the constant pessimism, praise of rivals, and minimizing of anything we did equivalent to them or better was just exhausting. He also has a huge issue with any credit given or praise of Cam Ward.
