The rule on not hiring high school coaches is pretty dumb, and stems from the NCAA not being able to control their own institutions.


What they should do, is cap the number of support staff allowed to be employed by a program to a reasonable number, and enforce existing rules banning support staff interactions with players.


The NCAA once instituted a 'Miami' rule, now they need to institute an 'Alabama rule'.

If a player has the ball and is down, he should able to get up and if he hasn't been tackled.
