Another ACC game cancelled due to COVID Protocols

This is insane. Why can’t they use the abbot test? If it’s good enough for the White House, it should be good enough for college football. They test everyone twice to avoid false positives or negatives. Results come back within 5-15 minutes.
Cost Maybe?

If you've been exposed to the virus, is there a time lag before you would test positive? If so, immediate instant testing of those exposed might not paint the true picture. Might take more hours/days to show up.

If a team cancels that’s an automatic loss...move on...
I don’t understand why the team without the issue is penalized with a postponement or cancellation.
seems to me the team with the positive test(s) should have to either play without the players who tested positive or forfeit the game.
Its not as though these games are creating a lot of capital anyways. There are next to no fans and concessions and parking.
V-tech should have “lost” the game to UVA or played with only those players who acted responsibly and didn‘t contract the virus.
And I’ll say the same thing when UM has players who test positive.
