Of all the upcoming HC candidates Babers is the most intriguing to me outside of Tom Herman. I wouldn't be mad at that

We've been told we are going to spend more on a coach this year. Yet this guy thinks we are getting the cheapest coach on our radar?

There was a coach who won 8 and 9 games in the MAC. His name was Urban something.
Whatever happened to that guy?

Al Golden, and most other failures at HC have 1 common problem.. they have no specialty (usually they claim they are a good recruiter.. sound familiar with Mario?). Babers actually is a great offensive mind from the Briles coaching tree. Briles recently said he's the smartest assistant he's ever had and he's going to go along to be a great HC. I'm not saying he's the best candidate, but he would put points on the board and we would be in position to win every game because of that.

I would like to know what assistants he plans to have before I handed him the keys, but if it came down to him and Mario, give me Babers. Not just over Mario either. Candidates like Rich Rod, Strong, etc I would go Babers first.
 
Babers is #1 on Tulane's list as long as Tulane hires their associate AD as their new AD (she hired him at Eastern Illinois).

Babers would be rolling the dice IMO. Go Butch if you are even thinking about someone like him or Mario.

I'd rather have Herpes than ALS......but I dont want either, and Miami has no business hiring him.

I'd stay at BGU another year rather than dive into that dumpster. He'd be stupid to risk his rising star status for such a minor upgrade in jobs.

You're going to down vote simply because my opinion is different than yours and someone's name came up other than Butch? I mean seriously.. hear me out here.

Babers is by no means my #1 choice. He's probably not even top 5 on my list, but he's a good coach. He's got some sort of a track record of success as an offensive mind, and comes from one of the best coaching trees in college football right now. Pretty refreshing to hear someone other than Mario for a change. It would be nice to know Blake is doing his job thinking outside the box on guys like this, not just picking out of our recycling bin of Mario, Schiano, Chud, Pagano, and Butch (I love Butch and he's for sure top 3, but we need different choices too).
 
Spurrier should go to Hawaii. That would be the perfect non expectation having job for him and he would love Hawaii's golf courses. Get them winning 7-8 games per year and they would erect a monument in his honor.

That dude's agent is putting his name in EVERY Power 5 Job that becomes open ....

they said 4 million but what they didn't say its for the whole coaching staff--wouldn't surprise me with this horse**** admin.
