Andy Borregales Saved the program

Because losing gets us further away from the goal. Yall want Diaz out of here so fast so we can higher who? An upcoming guy who had way more success than Al Golden...Like Mike Norvell? Like Scott Frost? Or an experienced dude who has ran a major program like a Gus Malzahn or Hugh Freeze (who gave up 53 points to a Dan Enos offense in his best year at Ole Miss). Are we supposed to poach Mario Cristobal who lost to 2 schools who could compete with Duke? There is not sure shot higher anywhere.
All,of those guys have more experience and are significant upgrades over Manny Diaz.

Do I think he’s a good kicker yes. But he’s still 18. He didn’t come to us like his brother as a grown man. You don’t put your freshman kicker in that position if you don’t have to.
So you'd rather put the pressure on a redshirt freshman qb making his first start? The kicker is 75%! You take those odds over throwing for the win 100 out of 100 times.

Seriously man, listening to al blades live stream today was eye opening.

I couldn’t imagine what I would have done when I was 18 if I missed a kick to lose a game and then opened my phone to 500 alerts telling me to off myself.

Honestly makes me embarrassed to be apart of this fan base. I know it happens everywhere, but it’s at a different level with this fan base.
not really. miami fan base no worse than SEC

Since people can’t handle the veil of protection that is the internet without telling a kid to jump off a bridge FOR A KICK it’s a good way to show coaches that social media should be banned during the season. Embarrassing being a part of this society at all

He's a good one, just a ton of pressure
I understand your point but that's what he's here for.... Make the kick.... Carlos Huerta didn't become what we was here by missing kicks due to pressure... ...Again I'm not knocking your point, just saying regardless of the situation a kicker has one job - make the kick... Especially a 33 yrd chip shot dead centered.

I’m not a kicker but maybe just maybe they get more pumped and focused on the 55-60 yard kicks?

Those howitzer kicks are what the NFL looks for (I think) get a bunch of those cross country kicks added to your resume is what we as fans also love to see.

Just my thoughts

He aint his brother. A downgrade for sure.
Tough shoes to fill when you follow the best kicker in the country.
Who knows how Andres does here but
have you seen Jose's stats at FIU the year before he came to Miami?

8 missed FG's and 2 missed XP's.

Some kickers are choke artists. They can make any kick from anywhere until it is a game-winning kick. Nate Kaeding was this way with the Chargers back in the day.

Ohh I agree tough shoes to fill. And here’s to hoping he develops like his brother. But right now he aint at his brother’s level. I don’t expect him to be either as a fresh. Keep in mind it wasn’t a tough kick to make either.
