This is exactly what Mendenhall said a year ago outright. He was frank about it and now he’s building something at Virginia with 2 and 3 star recruits. Diaz is not the guy

What positive thing is there to post about for Miami bruh? We've literally had 1 good stretch this decade.

You know that's fine. We know there's coach speak. No doubt he wanted to talk us up before the year. But with this schedule, there's no excuse for us to be dreaming of just making a bowl. There's over selling what we are and imploding, losing to that GT team, having CMU take us the distance...that's an implosion.

Fine with all of that.

We go 7-6 last year, lose a lot on our OL, DL, secondary, need to change the culture, get busy recruiting and getting to 80-85 scholarships, etc. People were literally predicting a 10 and 11 win season. Vegas had us at 7. Wonder how many of the suckers here threw money away. Of course it was a rebuild, they're the only ones who didn't know it though.

Surprised we lost, but as I said before the season we could win any game and lose any game. Nothing would be a given with this team. Still surprised at some things, but that's football for you.

Having said that, I don't disagree with her much. Where I do draw the line is that every coach says stupid crap leading up to their season. Imagine a coach who says we don't have the horses to compete and you know this is going to take some time. They all say essentially the same thing getting suckers like most that post here saying dumb things in anticipation of the season.

Personally, I think he was right but Manny would've been better off going this route than the whole, "come to UM or get beat by UM" nonsense.

Yup. A lot of us were there. I supported him and thought he would do for the offense what he did for the defense.

The thing is, we’ve seen corchery enough times leading up to this, that many of us just knew better earlier and acknowledged it. In the past I think we would’ve held out hope for much longer.

It’s actually good growth by this board IMO, sadly for unfortunate circumstances, but at least the coming to Jesus (if a ****** guy can use that term) has happened sooner.

There's no reason to do worse than 10-2 with this awful schedule.

Said it numerous times before the season and still feel that more than 2 losses will this schedule is a FAIL.
