And the first shoe drops. SEC schedule change

I don't blame them. They don't need anyone else outside that conference. That conference is stupid, ridiculous with 11 teams over 50% blue chip rates. No one else is has half that. It's why I personally find it embarrassing when someone claims we play tough schedules in the ACC. This coming from someone who has hated the SEC for decades and I still have more interest in their matchup's than any conference because of their talent. I will watch G5, whoever.

Bummer if our games get dropped but probably only a matter of time

our last 2 games against the SEC proves we can beat them handily.. (TAMU and UF).

UGA would have lost to GT last season if not for heavy assistance from the refs. That is why you play the games. Whatever talent advantage they have had on paper has been highly mitigated by the transfer portal. Parity isn’t 100% but it’s literally better than it’s ever been at this point. Which is why they’re trying to lock in their conference insulation now before people realize it’s all just marketing now.

Bama is doing the correct thing
Don’t play any ooc game that u have even a small
Chance of losing bc any loss in conf play will
Be a better loss than any win against any ooc team will be called a bad win
The playoffs will be the sec/b10 invitational soon

Yea I get it. It's just something we've never done. Even when we sucked we're scheduling road openers vs. Bama and UF (when we couldn't have known they'd suck) And back in the day we'd schedule every top team we could.

Any predictions on what teams will replace South Carolina with a home and home in 2026 and 2027? Miami also has a home and home with Auburn scheduled for 2029 and 2030.

I’m sure Rad’s office is reviewing those contracts and scrambling for replacements right now.

How about a pair of home games each with FAU and FIU? FAU at Miami in 2026 and 2029 with FIU at Miami in 2027 and 2030. Reminded to save on travel cost and pay FAU and FIU’s bus tokens.

I’m being sarcastic obviously. I’m sure behind the scenes Miami is working on an ACC exit strategy. At least I hope so.

They should add ND. Both teams need quality opponents.

Speaking of ND, they have this scheduling agreement w the ACC, so why the **** is this the first time we’re playing since 2017? How incompetent do you have to be to not schedule these teams for 7 years smh.

Notre Dame is already on the schedule for 2026, 2028, 2031, 2032, and 2037.

I suspect we will replace the SEC games either Big12 teams. Not a good plan long term……
