And so it begins…..CFP rankings chat

That means we are actually 19 cause the G5 auto bid team isn’t included there.

Off top of my head:

-one of byu and TT will be out.

-Pitt plays ND and LVille. We root for Pitt to win out til we play them.

-Oklahoma plays bama

-Texas plays Georgia and aTm

There is plenty of opportunity for chaos.

I know most are checked out and think we can’t win out, and I get it. But it’s Mario’s job to keep this team focused. Win out and let the other stuff take care of itself.

It’ll probably come down to something like a 3-loss Oklahoma vs 2-loss Miami if we win out. If we finish with 4 straight wins we aren’t dead.

Who do we have to kill to get to #12?
We'd need to be at least #9 to make it lol. G5 has a spot and whoever the loser of the ACC championship has a spot. Not impossible but my faith is low at the moment ask me again next week after we beat Syracuse lol

Ain’t happening. The SEC shuffle will be going on. If we win the last 4 we’ll make it up to about 14. We knew this on 8/31. We needed to run the table or at the least win the ACC with 1 loss. We did it to ourselves.
wed have to win like 56-0 the entire way through to get in without getting into the ACCCG

I have an emotional hedge “No” ticket on us to make the Playoffs.

Got it +1100 after FSU game. Prior to SMU game I was getting +212 for a cash out. Earlier today +761, now it’s +835. Betting world doesn’t like our chances.

We can definitely still get in. We need a little bit of help, but people saying we’re done at #18 are just raging. The amount of chaos that can happen in 4 weeks is ridiculous. Win out and we’ll be right there in the conversation.

GT is going to lose. Vanderbilt is going to lose. Oklahoma is going to lose. Texas is going to lose. Utah will probably lose again. Virginia. That’s just off the top of my head. We need to move up 8 spots to have a chance. That’s doable.

Texas lost to a 3-5 team in a game they never led and trailed most of the game by 2 scores. Utah lost a game at home by 24 points. Those two should not be as high as they are.

Oregon’s best win is Northwestern. Someone tell me why they’re 5-6 spots ahead of Virginia/Louisville other than the letters on their chest.

Why does the time of year matter? You can also argue they have 10 straight wins bc their toughest games were their first 2.
the committee generally prefers teams who get better as the year goes along not limp to the finish. winning 10 straight absolutely matters. we won our tough games and lost our easy ones.
