Here are some things of note for the Conference schedule as a whole:

-We play the most OOC teams that are expected to be good next year (12)
-We play the most OOC teams that had a 10 win season last year (17)
-We play the most OOC teams that finished in the top 25 last year (12)

Notable Opponents:
ACC vs SEC: 8 Match ups total, 4 are annual rival games
-FSU plays 2 (UF, Ole Miss)
-Clemson plays 2 (Auburn , USCe)
-GT plays 2 (Vandy, UGA)
-UGA plays 2 ACC schools ( UNC, GT ) they are the only school outside of ND that plays more than 1 game against the ACC
-VT plays UTenn
-Louisville plays Kentucky as usual
Other good teams:
ACC also hosts good to decent teams in Oregon, Oklahoma State, Penn State, and Houston

Teams that play Notre Dame this year:
Miami, NCState, Syracuse, Duke, and Virginia Tech.

Thursday Night Matchups:
Miami vs VT
Clemson vs GT
VT vs Pitt
UNC vs Duke(The only traditional rival game currently schedule to be played on Thursday)
Week 1 has some Wake forest and Louisville playing FCS schools on Thursday night

Friday Night Matchups all suck
Louisville vs Syracuse
Clemson vs Boston College
Duke vs Louisville
BC vs FSU (this will suck this year w/o Don Brown)
NCState vs UNC (Guess this is the best since their both instate?)

Primetime Louisville? or VT?
The games will suck, but regardless, they play the most non Saturday games (1 Thursday night, 2 Friday night)
VT plays 2 games, back to back, on Thursday Night

Why Week 9 could be the most important for the overall ACC picture:
FSU/Clemson, both coming off a bye week, will likely play over the Atlantic Crown. On the other side, Miami will play Notre Dame. Lthough it isn't a conference match, the reason why this is important? Because if we go into this game undefeated, this will could end up being the deciding factor on if we play in the playoffs. If we leave week 9 at 8-0, only game that could stop us from a playoff appearance at that point would be the ACCCG. This week will be good if CLemson/FSU is undefeated minus FSU losing to Miami.

And last but not least, a decent rivalry week...Instate match ups will include:
Florida (UF vs FSU)
Virginia ( UVA vs VT)
Kentucky ( UK vs Louisville )
North Carolina ( UNC vs NCST )
Georgia (UGA vs GT)
Prolly won't be a good matchup, but we will be making Dook cry that week also.

There's your overall view of what to look forward to if you care about the conference as a whole.

VT-UT game is at Bristol, as in the track, as in, it's going to have 150,000 fans there.
