“The relationships with the coaches, how they value me and my connection with the players make it easy and fun at Miami,” Sears told Rivals. “They all know my family. I’m comfortable there and I like Miami both on and off the field.”
Sears has already visited Miami more than 10 times and feels comfortable in Coral Gables. The staff has made it clear he is a priority.

“Why not put it on for your city?” Sears said. “I could commit to Miami, stay at the crib and be close to my family. It feels good to be there. I could be that hometown guy at Miami. The love would be there.
Sears said a decision could come sooner rather than later.
