AM I DELUSIONAL TO ROOT HARD FOR PITT TONITE?

UVA has two very potential losses left on their schedule: Ga Tech and Va Tech.

A loss to Pitt would make things much easier.

True. But those are the only 2 after tonight. They’d have to lose both. Agreed, losing to Pitt tonight would be huge...wouldn’t surprise me at all to see them lose to both VT & GT but IMO one of those 2 is almost a guarantee. I saw this week per FPI Miami has a 14% chance for Charlotte. I’ll bet that number gets into the 30% range with just a Pitt win tonight.
 
People are acting like we have no shot. Its very likely that Virginia looses 2 more games. They arent that good.... If we win out and that happens we in the chip and I dont think there is a team left on our schedule better than BC
 
What happens if Pitt wins tonight, and wins the rest of their games except us. Then we win out and UVA wins out. Who moves on in the case of a 3-way tie?

If you have the same ACC record, and then each of the three has one win vs the other and a loss, the next step is COASTAL Record. Pitt would have 2 Coastal losses - Us and UNC, which means they are out. UVA would only have one because their other loss is to NCSt in the Atlantic, and we'd only have one because our other loss is to BC in the Atlantic. Therefore it would be reset as a 2 way tie between us an UVA, and they have the head to head, so they would be Coastal Champions.

...so we NEED UVA to lose another game and for us to win out. Doesn't really matter what Pitt does.

Nah I think that would be a dog fight this year..I think our D can hold it down..now could are O put up 21-28 points on them and move the chains well enough to keep the D sort of fresh

Pitt winning tonight could make Richt tighten up & leave Rosier in longer than he would have otherwise. Pretty sad state we're in right now. I hope he realizes it's time to let the young gun let it rip. Still relatively confident he'll put Jarren in this week.

Bruh read my post..I said it could be a dog fight. Depending on if the O has a good game. Evidence of the history says no. But it’s cfb.our D can hold them down as long as they don’t get worn from being on the field too long.

It's not like we're hoping for a classic 4-4 team who is 4-1 in conference....They are actually a decent team this year.

It's pretty simple, VA still has to play AWAY at VT & GT their 2 losses were away games. We play GT & VT away (not good, but doable) and we play Pitt at The Rock. We win out we are in. (would hold the tiebreaker over Pitt. Of course this assumes CMR calls a good game (not highly likely but possible).
