AM I DELUSIONAL TO ROOT HARD FOR PITT TONITE?

You are not delusional for feeling this way... but you are delusional for starting another thread on the exact same topic that someone else started this morning.

If Miami wins out (I know not very likely But definitely possible!) AND Virginia loses twice (with that **** QB) starting with and L tonight we can still win the Coastal. Imagine we do and play Clemson tough in the ACC championship game, win a decent bowl game, Something to build on! I agree that Richt is to blame for most of our woes! especially his predictable Stone Age playcalling! But I doubt he gets canned!(I would love a change at the top after the season with Manny moving in for consistency). Why not hold on to some hope for the Season??

Wow, the thought of playing Clemson again in the ACC game with this poorly coached squad is downright scary. I would rather not start a Buffalo Bills type streak in ACC Championship games, rather, go play the game strong when we deserve to be there. Let UVA or GT have the consolation prize of getting waxed in the ACCCG.

Sure, if we magically start "executing" as per CMR and we all see first hand that the coaching was always stellar, sure let's get into the game.

UM

Of course you root for Pitt tonight. Root for BC to win out also. I would love a rematch with them in the ACCCG.

Depends on if you think it is better for Miami to finish 9-3, or 9-4 with a 50 point blowout loss against Clemson. Don’t use the scenario we that we hang with them, because that isn’t happening.

Probably better for the psyche of everyone involved to avoid that beat down. And it probably doesn’t make any positive difference in our bowl game selection either.
Mabey we can avoid playing UF next year too.
Avoiding big time opponents doesn't make you stronger..

Kicking a hurt team when they are down does nothing either. We don't have a chance in that game, we won't look better by any measure having backed our way in there with a Virginia loss, only to get our *** beat and have a worse winning percentage. Take pride in a tie breaker win of the ****tiest division, in the ****tiest conference in football all you want. But there is zero to gain, and something to lose. I'd prefer we don't take a hit to recruiting, a hit to the confidence of the players and fan base, or any serious injuries.

Other question though, did you think the Florida thing was a good point? When we will still have something to play for? In your mind was that some witty shot?

agreed.

-10 wins
-resounding bowl game victory

achieve one or both and we can salvage the season

Winning the Coastal means nothing to me. I want to see good football. Backing into the Coastal title and being a sacrificial lamb doesn't get me excited one bit. Now if we were playing good football I would be excited about our chances, even with some losses. Right now I can not get excited about the fecal matter that is our O. It screams more losses to come, and has for quite a while.

No, the UF thing is about a defeatest attitude that has crept into our fan base.
Also, losing the "****test" division offers no help to recruiting.
3rd, i love watching FB, I'd like a Bonus game, be it Clemson. NCS, or BC..

I dunno about delusional, but maybe explore other hobbies.

+1 - allot of us invest a ton of time & money into this program. A program that has shown it's unwilling to innovate & is set on the status quo. A status quo that has brought anemic results & worse a boring product to the table. Nothing is going to change as long as the powers that be keep parading in good guys to massage out our edge.

It's time to find a better way to use our time and resources in the fall. ****e is stupid. Stupidity breeds stupidity it's a cancerous cycle that leads to perpetual mediocrity.

I've been a season ticket holder & supporter of this U my whole life. I'm taking a break and letting this madness play out on the sidelines. I won't bash the players nor the brand, but I refuse to follow some corpse into the valley of death for fun.

Time to invest in another hobby & watch as a casual fan.

If you can make it in Miami U can make it anywhere. If you can't then go to sleep Mork.

He’s definitely not getting canned, and knowing this it blows my mind how many people root against the success of our team, it does nothing but set us back further.

No you're not. You always root for the best win it comes to the U.

We're mathematically in it... but it's a pipe dream unless CMR does a 180 deg. coaching change. I think Bronco has the best chance for the coastal but regardless I hope CMR proves me wrong.

This is Year 3 and we are still hoping for the Hoo's to ***** up...

That should end all arguements on our current state.

Yep, I remember this "what if" game being played every year under Shannon and Golden. Only to have the team **** the bed again and again. If you need to start playing this "mathematical possibility" game, it means your team sucks and you are not winning anything meaningful.

What has this team shown on offense that would lead anyone to believe we are winning out?
Being positive doesn't make you a super fan, just saying. A bunch of us old schoolers predicted a lot of what has happened for years now. Years. Nostradamus my ***.

I'm in 100% agreement here... What has this team shown on offense that would lead anyone to believe we are winning out? 13 pts vs VA, 14 pts vs BC?
Forget worrying about the Coastal, this offense is so bad, I'd be more worried about becoming bowl eligible.
