Or has the “U” gotten bigger on the helmet over the years? Now I know this is a nothing burger for most on here but I am that psyco crazy canes fan who notices every detail of the beloved uniform from the Russell Athletics days, Batwing 2000-2003 , bra straps of 2004-2006, the 2007 Radio Shannon specials and so forth and so on. This is specifically the helmet part tho. Look at these and tell me I am losing my mind. The “U” especially this year seems larger. I am not upset about it just trying to make sure I’m not going crazy lol. Yes this is a trivial thread but what the **** it’s the offseason lol.

If a one-eyed zombie ain't crazy, what is?

I think the size and shape of helmets has also changed a fair bit over that same time span which may have resulted in some size/perception changes of The U. Personally, I think the helmets should be shaped like a U, orange on one side, green on the other.

I agree with the first part of that. The second part, I like keeping the traditional racing stripes down the middle.

it is a great point. i also noticed the jersey numbers keep increasing. nothing gets past me.

It’s not fair to show pics of two QBs heading in two different career directions when the pics were taken. The high-IQ QB obviously has a larger helmet to fit in all that grey matter, so the logo seems smaller, relatively. However, it also could be, that a lot of us at CIS are hitting the octogenarian phase, and a larger logo helps identifying our team on the field. The designer gods know of this, and are making the necessary tweaks…
