Imagine this alternative reality...
Let's say Bubba makes the short kick vs. UF and the 3rd fumble on UNC's last drive is ruled a fumble on the field, both of which could have easily happened. Miami is 2-0, probably ranked in the 10-15 range, and you're all (irrationally) talking about the playoffs. If 2 plays are the difference between "darkhorse CFP contender" and "dumpster fire", your analytical methods are faulty.
We're a young, thin team with a new coaching staff. We've played two P5 teams on the road, both of which were expected to be close games, and lost them by a combined 7 points. Our Vegas pre-season win total was 8.5. We are 29th in FPI (26th on offense!), and are now favored in every remaining game.
Our performance is exactly where it should be. The results are a bit behind our performance, but results don't always track performance in the short-term. TNM is alive and well. I'm excited about the direction of this program.
