Alright Men, and Mannetes. The last 6 games is all going to be about Dwins Titles.

Just saw the title of the thread still did not realize what was happening till I just now saw it lmao
I had thought for a minute I stood next to you in the area that DMoney was at, the Cane takeover bar at Cal game.

Sounds like you did not fly out.

It's all good. I still stand by the fact that Miami's Defense will be what dictates our Conference games.

I say our team steps up.

I'd like to see us just try to get pressure with our front 4 and drop more guys into coverage. I think we can limit big plays and make offenses work harder this way.

I tend too agree but I don't have one tenth of the knowledge that Guidry does. Let's see what he has decided to do. This will be very interesting.

The D does not have to improve much if we cut down on turnovers and penalties.
The defense has to improve significantly when it comes to limiting big plays. They had one turnover vs Cal that went for 6 but the defense surrendered 31 points to a very poor offensive team. If they don’t give up (4) 50+ yards plays, Miami wins that game easily.

It’s not turnovers. It’s not the running game. It’s the defense

The Defense has to get better. I agree with that but as I said it does not have to get much better if we stop turning over the ball and limit penalties.
Did you even watch the Hokie game and how they got all their momentum? They scored off our turnovers.

The Cal game was less because of the turnovers but we still had penalties and there was a stupid pick to begin the third quarter that just should not have happened.

I’m looking at reoccurring issues and what seems to be hurting our team. They had three turnovers against VT and that definitely put them in position to win that game but over the course of the season, we haven’t had turnover issues in any other game. We’re tied for 25th in turnover margin and we’ve had a total of 6 turnovers so the VT game seems like more of an outlier.

What has been an issue in almost every game so far is allowing big plays on defense. We’ve had way too many plays that should have been 10-15 yard gains go for 40+ against us this year and it’s been happening since the Florida game. The frustrating thing is that otherwise the defense has been very good. It’s a bit too much all or nothing with them.
