Alright, after the debacle, watched the latest Star Wars, serious question...

A lot better than the second one of the new trilogy, I thought the new one was trying to clean up the second movie plot holes. Alright movie though just gotta go into it with expectations of a fun movie

so I didn't have a chance to post any post-game thoughts. And I dont think much more needs to be said about what took place vs LaTech or the season -- it was an unmitigated disaster. Personally, Im surprised we kept it as close as they did(kudos to the defense), but geez, they are as boring as they are bad. It's basically unwatchable. There was a time when I'd always re-watch games(I have a full VHS collection of games to prove it, lol), now, I can barely watch our games as they happen. Its THAT bad

Now, with that said, my question is: are you renewing your season tickets?

And for out-of-towners like myself(who reside in Los Angeles): are you going to any home or road games in 2020

For me, the Michigan State game was one I had circled since it was scheduled. Ive been to road games all over the country as a Canes fan, and they have been great experiences, met friends, made contacts, etc. Ive never regretted any trip, win or lose.

But after this season, and really a culmination of many years, Im saving my money and aggravation. I can't do it, it feels as though Id be part of the enabling of this ineptitude if I decided to go. Earlier this season, I had booked my flight for the Gatech game, but I decided to cancel it(and pay the penalty fee), I made the decision to come home from Philly(where I covered a fight) and come right back to LA, rather than go to the Gatech game -- and we know how that turned out

So again, how many of you have altered your plans for attending games in 2020? Or as long as Manny Diazster is the head coach?

And BTW, the problem with this program goes far beyond just the head coach. The house cleaning needs to start at the top of the athletic dept.
That don't deserve our time. They have underachieved and stunk up the joint for too long.

That new Star Wars is whack, George Lucas is screaming somewhere.

I'm going to have to be on a wait and see approach for traveling for any more Miami games. Just a very frustrating and disappointing situation right now.

So I juuuuust spoke to my guy Tony G, he's a guy with two UM degrees, is in the boxing business, he's in Atlanta right now with Yuriorkis Gamboa (who fights Tank Davis tomorrow on Showtime). For years, he always wore a Miami hat as he came into the ring with his fighters, it was his trademark,. Now he says he's too embarrassed to, lol. Anyhooooo.....

He told me flat out, he has a pool of 14 season tickets, he isn't renewing. Was already called by the ticket office and he told them,'Till you get rid of Blake James, don't even call me anymore."

So yeah, guys like him aren't playing around

BTW, Tony throws a grade-A tailgate party, seriously, it's catered, booze all over, former players he represented like Markese Fitzgerald (who I met at the ND game in '17) hang out. It's a cool scene. But he says he's had enough. And I know he goes to at least three of four road games a year, that's over too

Also, he's a pretty big donor, that's done

So take that for whatever it means. He can't be the only one

Money talks that's the only way anyone will listen. Good for him.

I live in LA and I have season tickets as well as being an alum and mydonation level is fairly high.

Scratch that- it was fairly high.

I’m giving them 50 bucks to keep my years of points going just in case one day my slot in ordering matters again. But not only amI’m not giving to the athletic department, I’m also not giving to the school of communications anymore. Until they get one thing fixed, I’m not helping the other

All I want from my school Is for 12 Saturdays of hope in the fall and they’ve taken that away from me

Amen!

OK, so I'll re-visit this, without Alonzo, and you have the the Duo of Death (Manny and Blake), who is pulling their support for the football/athletic program from a financial standpoint, if not emotionally.

If the football program isn't important to UM (which is certainly their prerogative as a university), why should we as a fan-base be all-in?

PalyCane and I had plans to meet in Miami for the UVA game but cancelled the trip due to the on-field horror show.

I also had been eyeing the Michigan State game. I would most certainly have traveled to that one. But just as you stated, there is no way I can commit money and PTO days to support this schit show. I think you know how much that hurts me personally. I was looking forward to making a trip to an area of the country I would not otherwise travel to, as well as seeing good Canes road game. Cant do it though.

funny thing is, if Alonzo is brought on, I probably fold like a tent and make the plans for East Lansing. Yeah, cue the Robert DeNiro meme from Godfather 3.... lol
