I dont get leaving Mizzou for UF but maybe im a bit biased. For everything you gain in resources, you lose bigger with the unrealistic expectations they have.

I figured they'd make a legit run a Fisch. I liked what he did at Arizona. Its way to early to judge him on UWashington.

This is the stupidest of stupid takes. "oh no, I am going to get paid tens of millions of dollars and the fans are going to have super high expectations for me oh no, I better just be comfortable so people don't expect too much from me!!"

No coach in the history of football with any tiny bit of success has ever had your loser thought process.

Then, hopefully, with that line of thinking, you can explain why an experienced, sought-after, HC like Lane Kiffin is still in Oxford? And, Lane is lucky. Most dont get a second opportunity at a P4.

You sound young. Its not the fans expectations I was referring to. Its the expectations of the administration, booster, alumni, etc, that makes a school unattractive. We suffered from this disease for decades.

I can understand why a coach like Jon Sumrall at Tulane would patiently wait for the right opportunity, instead jumping at the first thing that comes his way.

Timmmmyyyyyyy FFFFINNNG TEBOW!

Kiffin to uf doesn’t scare me. Only mildly annoying with recruiting. He drops 2 games a year inexplicably like Mario but is praised for some odd reason, yet the losses aren’t “good sec losses”

Daughter goes to Arkansas and we know quite a few people at Mizzou and they love him. They have very low expectations, and he will be set if he can get an upset or two now and then and win 7/8 game a year. He's the guy Arky should have hired, but they slow-played him and ended up with Pitman.
I'm hoping Lashlee takes the Arkansas gig.

My guess is UF is thinking they’ll save millions with the amount of useless staff Billy had. I’m sure Lane isn’t rolling that deep

There’s a cult of personality around Kiffin. He not necessarily afraid to speak his mind, or to consciously try and stir the pot. This attracts a certain kind of fan who overlook results. Some of Miami fans still dream of Lane as the head coach. Maybe in their minds he has swagger.

Ole Miss lost at home to Kentucky last year. Just two weeks ago they almost lost at home to a bad Washington State team. They came back and won narrowly. This board would implode if Mario and Miami give a similar performance against Stanford.

To be fair, he is a better head coach now than his first year at Tennessee and at USC. His rehab at Alabama under Saban was time well spent. FAU gave him a chance to be the man in charge again clearly with the intention of moving on. He took full advantage.

Lane Kiffin has done very well at Mississippi, and I think he would do the same at Florida.
