All those deep balls today should open up the running game.

Nebraska will bring the house against Kaaya! He's still a freshman and they hope they can rattle him. But if he can connect with PD and Co. deep, they'll back off.

I think we just saw what every one was raving about during training camp. It seems kaaya can make all the throws and hitting the long ball changes everything on offence. cant wait for next week, we basically get a prime time do over from 2 weeks ago. If we win, we get to shut up all of the I hope we loose idiots.

Should be what the staff expects, but we need to see more deep balls even if they are incomplete. We have veteran receivers that can go deep. so what he throw an interception or two, especially if not in a critical spot.

also, please stop with the trick plays, stop getting cute, we don't need it.

Possibly, but there's a big wild card you're not taking into account. Namely, our putrid offensive line play.

Come out wide vs Nebraska, split your lineman really wide like Wake LY, throw a wrinkle at them.

//I know, I know, but we can dream

ASU showed us a little trickaration for a TD.

Hit the nail on the head, our success this season IMHO depends on the OL, many other pieces in place, coaching staff...............

Kaaya is the truth. This team is in good hands especially next year.

problem right now is that offensive line, the time he had to throw won't be there. We will see

There's nothing that can stop the Miami offense, but themselves and coaches. They have all the skill players you need to put points up.

It's like they score points on accident. Imagine them with Chad Morris or Kevin Sumlin type of OC.

Also watched some of the VT game - their coaches were getting in the face of the O line on the sidelines something fierce - pointing out the basics - no screaming out the basics. We need some of that, not the job of coaches to be "good guys" especially on game day.

Kaaya is still getting used to the speed of the game. His internal clock is a tick or two too slow right now which will probably cost him and us yards as he works through that, but I was really pleased with his performance. He threw the ball with accuracy to players at different depths on the field and in almost every instance he hit them so they could continue to run.

If our OC will allow him to use the entire field at Lincoln I think we have a better chance of having success because I am certain they will have the entire student section in the box to stop Duke. Our OL will have to play much better or they will again be exposed.

Need to continue taking shots next week, especially early. I expect Nebraska will be super aggressive with their LBs so Waters/Lewis/Berrios/Walford will need to step up and Kaaya will need to get rid of the ball like it has AIDS.

We need to spread the field 4 and 5 wide and air it out and then unleash Duke. The oline isn't physical enough to set the tone by running first.

With our O-line play we couldn't run the ball against Louisville and we won't be able to run against Nebraska. Unless, as mentioned by Hurricanestorm, we can pass effectively. Don't know how much of a spread offense we will see but, if we can't move the ball in the ball in the air we will be in for a another long night.

If I had to guess...

I'll say we go into the Nebraska game and try to pound them instead of spreading it out and using our speed advantage.

Just a guess.
