The new College Football 27 video game comes out in six days for early-release buyers. The EA Sports crew released their ratings for each player and each team. Miami is expecting to be one of the highest rated teams in the game: 88 overall, 90 offense, and 86 defense.

Miami football is headlined by star wide receiver Malachi Toney, who is coming in at 96 overall. Trailing behind Toney is running back Mark Fletcher at 93 overall.

0 drops on targeted passes in his career so far IRL, so I put Toneys catch stats at 99/99/98 basically. **** EA for that one

 

would be a dope if NCAA had teams from the past on the game like playing with the 01 hurricanes

This is in the works on the PC. Full on mods to start the year at 2007, 2000, etc.

Haven’t experienced that problem with Toney (yet), but Ethan O’Conner is getting smoke like a MFer on D. That and underthrown balls are getting ridiculous. I’m beginning to think that EA nerfed passing in order to compensate for their Zone Defenses being so easy to bomb. I was not having this problem when the game first came out

Ht/Wt updates: Whomever Cristobal has provided updates on or the website itself has. Blount is 275 now. Toney is up to 194 lbs., Dunnigan is a mini-Freak at 6'3 205 and growing, etc etc etc


None of this can be done on PS5/Xbox so I'm retiring my PS5 basically as a consequence of this and the move away from physical media by Sony.

Those are the changes.

• This puts Miami with a 94/92 Offensive/Defensive OVR split, which I think is more accurate than 89/91 that EA has them at.
  • I didn't go overboard, but sure, Buchanan could be 84, McCoy 85, Pringle 81, Lyle 79, Redding 67, Jennings 68, etc etc. Whatever. I gave them all benefits of the doubt.
  • In the hunt for the title. Maybe the HB position is a bit OP but I'm not nerfing it at this point.
• Can't do this on PS5 or Xbox unfortunately. I literally bought a new PC to edit this **** up, and it's paid off.

If I can complain for a minute, I'm so jonesing for Canes football that I've been watching some NCAA 27 Miami simulation games on YouTube and they're unwatchable. They make the defense atrocious and get into the most ridiculous formations. No one covers the flat and our DBs can never get off blocks. I watched a game vs. FSU where OJ got pancaked 7 times in a row on run plays. WTF. Also somehow the AI is dumber than it was 20 years ago. They've lost the concept of clock management and spiking the ball to stop the clock. Never run no huddle. These are all things the AI knew to do in 2007. They do make Mensah really good and Toney of course. Coop catches everything and Lofton is unstppable, lol. The animations still suck and when the OL and DL get locked up they just stand there holding hands. Sorry but I expected much better in 2026. It's probably a lot better to plan than watch.
