All aboard the Mario Cristobal Express.

LMAO. Yeah let's hire a college offensive line coach who was fired by FIU and who has already proven he has zero loyalty to this program.

That's exactly what this program needs right now.

It will be Mario. It is inevitable. All you need to do is look at how this administration has handled the last few hires.

They will make a run at 1 or 2 bigger names, Schiano/ Chud, if those guys don't bite, they will immediately run to the "safe" plan B choice, which will be Mario.

Remember that Al Golden and Randy Edsall were the finalists last time around.

Anyone who thinks we are going to hire a Narduzzi, or Butch, or Sumlin or guys like that is living in a fantasy world.

I think Schiano and Chud would bite at the opportunity if becoming the HC.

Schiano does not want to leave FL due to personal reasons.

Chud played here and coached here for a very long time.

He has the chance to right the ship and be the face of the program.

I think the Mario "burned bridges" thing is WAY overdone.

I don't think the guy is stupid. Im sure he soothed things over before he bolted to Bama.

Lets face it, he was hired as a courtesy/recruiting guy, with a made up position and no real responsibility. He was then offered a MAJOR opportunity. All he had to do was go to the administration and say "look, thank you so much for the opportunity to have a job, but look at this chance, this will help me learn from a top level guy, and continue to develop as a coach, so that I will be that much better in the future and hope to be an HC here one day" yada yada....

we really don't know what went on behind closed doors before he left for Bama, but his hiring here was a joke and a courtesy anyway. The guy had no real job other than to be a recruiter. And then had a chance to be OL coach under the best in the business.

Schiano laughed in our faces once before. I honestly question if the admin would even approach him again. Chud would be approached, but there are questions about him in recruiting, and word has been for a LONG time that he's an "NFL guy" and doesn't have much interest in college.

I just don't see ANY obvious choice beyond Cristobal. And as much as it would make me sick, that is who this administration is going to end up hiring.

Mario is as loyal as Lebron James. Dude can kick rocks. I'd much rather Butch come back than offer the gig to this turncoat.

A Mario hire would continue our streak of hiring the absolute worst possible candidate

Cristobal would be great because of what he has learned coaching under
Saban. Everybody knows Saban teaches his coaches and puts them in position to be great elsewhere. Cristobal before coaching at Bama nah but Cristobal now He'll yeah. That's why I believe Kiffen would be a good hire also.

Not sure if he would consider, but Chudzinski could be a good hire.

UM ties, brings a coaching dynamic to the table (ability to run an offensive), understands the pro's and con's of coaching here. Like him better than Cristobal, though I wonder if he could persuade Cristobal to join his staff.

without doing a lot of research Chud is at the top of the list for me as well

I'm not sure about Mario, but then again, if hired maybe he brings some from Saban's staff.

Awful hire and we would be in the same boat. We need a guy who can bring something to the table X and O's wise. Wether thats Chad Morris and his offensive system or guys like Pruitt or Narduzzi and there defense. Guys who are really good at what they do on one side of the ball.

This ******* sucks. Sucks it has gotten to this point. I wanted Golden to be the guy so bad, and for the longest time I thought he could be. Clearly they don't have the knowledge with the X's and O's to win games against good coaches. The staff is full of great recruiters, but this whole debacle clearly debunks the myth that superior players can win with inferior coaches. It's amazing they recruit as well as they have without results, selling recruits on the "future" never actually building a present..

If we are going to make a change, and I don't know that I fully believe the administration is ready to do so, I would much rather it happen sooner than later so our next staff can get in contact with the insane studs that are committed over the next two classes ASAP. We CANNOT lose the likes of Bruce, Williams, Conrkrite, Scarlett, etc. or our program is REALLY going to be ****ed. Hope those kids are committed to the program and not necessarily the staff (even though that is rarely the case). Also think it is essential to keep some of our staff on board to continue to recruit, such as Hurlie, Ice, even Coley is so important on the recruiting side of things. Hiring a HC with an offensive background and keeping Coley on board in his same role (minus the playcalling or even if he is allowed to call the plays and the next HC takes him under his wing and oversees EVERYTHING).

****. THIS ******* SUCKS.

I want to hope that this loss will light a fire under our programs collective asses and we can at least go on a run at the Coastal, but who knows. Love this program, but this is just so frustrating.

***** Christobal.

Looking back, everyone was insulted that they were pulling the Jay for John, Gruden switch, but that might have been **** good.
