Alex Bauman Appreciation Thread

Last year was only Arroyo? Lmao. The year before that was only Mallory? Yall having selective memory I see. TE room was our weakest link on the team this year, but dont let that take away from what our TEs provided for us in previous years.
How far we going back with “previous years” ?

Woodiel has been pretty *** on the trail too

Perhaps we're only now paying the price for the embarrassment of riches we had at TE for seemingly decades.

Thanks for your contribution but GTFO of town and don’t come back

The all-timer…

+ 3rd quarter, 2nd drive
+ Fourth and 1.
+ May be the poorest effort I’ve ever seen by a punt protector.
+ Barely gets a hand on the guy and doesn’t even sprint to get down field. He’s literally loafing down the field and doesn’t even realize it’s been blocked.

All timer right here.
Ill never forget this play.. a blocked punt on a 4 man rush..

I’ll never forget sitting in the cotton bowl after the game in the family section and Baumans parents were *****ing about Beck getting “special treatment” bc Carson got to go out different gates to the team buses so he didn’t get harassed by fans. I knew right then Bauman wasn’t made for this. Of course high profile QBs get special treatment. Get over it.

Mike Leach is my spirit animal.

The TE position is, for the most part, the "spork" of CFB. Yes there is the rare occasion where it comes in handy. But 99% of the time you would better off using either a spoon or a fork.

There is a reason that you will never see a person open up their cutlery drawer and pull out a stainless steel spork for guests when serving dinner.

Use a WR or OL unless you have a game changer at TE. Bauman is so far removed from that it's basically point shaving to have him on the field.

This ignores that TEs can be used to create massive mismatches by dictating defensive personnelll, which is why having a great Pass threat and blocker out of 1 te is a mismatch nightmare for Defenses.

If you can find a TE that creates mismatches. Those types of TEs are as rare as the times as when a spork is useful.
