Alarming quote from Ferman in his Wedn. Update

I think its time to start claiming that the real reason that James wont hire Highsmith is that he doesn't want a strong black man questioning his decisions. It would cause the SJW robots currently running the school to short circuit.

giphy.gif

Without bringing race into this neither Manure or Flake want ANY ALPHA MALE hired that has enough knowledge to point out the sHT they have have done and are still doing turning this program into the dumpster fire it is.

I said this as soon as the rumor started that Zo May be hired here.

These guys are two idiots that were given jobs neither of them were qualified for and they are not about to put someone of knowledge and intellect into a position where that person could get them fired.

I’m not sure how big the ****s are in the pictures FLake has of the BOT members or what type of animals are attached to them but they must be some doozies if the BOT members are willing to overlook his constant hiring ****ups not just in Football but in all sports.

IF they do actually hire someone, and I’m not convinced they will,it will be someone they can control and he/she will undoubtedly have little to zero power to change anything without going though them first. All this rumor has been for is to get the spotlight off of the 2 idiots in charge of killing the program the one job they’ve actually been good at.

The ACC will never kick us out.
Too big a media market.
Get what yer saying..
True. I just wonder if we could at least wake up the administration by starting a movement to kick Miami out of the ACC. If nothing else it would get under their skin if the media started discussing it and taking it seriously even though it would probably never happen.

pete convinced his one source to leave school early so he could get a job. I wouldn’t call that being an “insider.”
I quoted “insider” and call it what you want - I’m not vouching for him. He was a CIS staff member who provided recruiting information under the guise of having contacts and now there’s no one who creates that perception from CIS. CaneSport has Gru Ferman, 247 has Andrew Ivins and CIS has no one. Does that work better for you, Andy?

So some other poster posted something he says he saw on another board that was posted by someone who claims to have a friend ’in the booster community’, and that’s the story? Sounds irrefutable.

If you can refute any single element of the story I'd like to hear it. Just pick any individual part- the timeline, the names, anything to show the story doesn't hold up and I'll agree that it might be BS.

@nycane in the original thread you said that the story confirmed what you had heard- is that correct?

What suprises me is I’d think James sees his interests differently from manny at this point. Manny is gone in a year. James should be focused on a narrative to live through that. Having a head of football ops to make the call will deflect attention from James.

I suspect Manny’s dad’s friends are the wrinkle here, so James is boxed in.

Who Zo reports too is the key to everything.
If Zo reports to manny then its a meaningless position.
If manny reports to Zo then we have something.

So you pass off a fourth hand rumor (other poster other board knows a guy who’s a booster who heard a story), and now you expect me to refute your heresay? Lmao.

I continue to be shocked at the utter incompetence and apathy from the decision makers at the University of Miami. It’s like every single one of them is completely tone deaf and oblivious to what’s going on in the real world.

I mean, I get why Blake and Manny don’t want him to come in and hold them accountable for this mess but the people above them should really be ashamed of themselves. Hopefully enough big money people say enough is enough.
Maybe. I heard a good counterveiling opinion on a podcast that a strong GM of sports is actually quite rare in CFB. College GMs usually handle auxiliary duties that a head coach does not have time for - basically an assistant. Same podcast said that ignore would be a huge step down for Zo to take this position

Other posters on this board confirmed the story- are you calling them all liars?

You are hilarious. You made a claim, i asked you what it was based on, you responded with a link to a rumor, and now I’m calling everyone liars because I pointed out your link wasn’t evidence of anything. Go have a drink and enjoy yourself, this exchange is stupid.

I have no idea if he is lying. That you ask it that way just highlights that you’re in full meltdown mode. You’re the one who made a claim and then when asked about it chose to support it by linking an internet rumor. Not sure what you want at this point. I haven’t claimed to know the truth, just that an obvious fourth hand rumor isn’t much in the way of evidence.

"Richt had a three hour meeting with Blake James on Saturday afternoon, during the course of which he agreed to overhaul the offense. Sunday morning, Richt called James and indicated that he wasn’t comfortable firing his staff, and that he’d prefer to retire instead (this saved the school 20m).
At this point, Rudy Fernandez (chief of staff to the President of UM, also SVP communications), who’s very close to Diaz Jr., started telling the board and James that UM had to retain Diaz.
Simultaneously, David Epstein and Manny Kadre, who are also the BoT for UM (and are also very close with Manny Diaz Sr., former mayor of Miami) started pressuring James to interview Diaz ASAP.
While this was all happening, Jeff Soffer (whose mother is the namesake of the indoor practice facility—among a family of billionaires) was reportedly ready to pony up 10m for the buyout of Mario Cristobal. Adding to this, Cristobal’s wife was interested in the move, however I haven’t seen texts about Mario’s personal interest.
On Sunday night, James interviewed Diaz, who expressed his interest in the UM job, but also mentioned that he couldn’t keep stringing Temple along, as he was in the midst of assembling a staff, on top of recruiting starting next week. Diaz Jr. informed James that he was leaving for Philadelphia within the next few days (Monday/Tuesday) and they would have to make an immediate decision.
The rest is history, as Diaz was offered the job on Sunday evening."

all this makes me cry...

Bro- you have some real personality issues. You seem to pull this keyboard warrior schtick with anyone who says something you disagree with. Take your xanax and calm down.

I posted a link from last year where a poster provided an explanation of what happened behind the scenes that led to the Diaz hire. You said it was BS. Then I showed that others, including a site mod, confirmed the story in that same thread. You said that it is not evidence. Statements are evidence. Someone saying the story is 100% accurate is evidence (as you pointed out - its hearsay evidence but this isnt a criminal trial). Hearsay evidence is either true or not true (not asking about the truth of the matter asserted). Either someone heard it or they are lying about hearing it.

I dont have any inside knowledge, but apparently you must know something to claim the story isn't true or to question the narrative. It should be easy to disprove stories like this (where a lot of events are supposedly interconnected) by pointing out inconsistencies. If there are no inconsistencies in a rather complex chain of events and no one offers an alternative explanation that fills in the blanks, it tends to suggest that the story is true. That's why I asked if you could show anything about the story being inconsistent. I want to know the truth and have no vested interest in this story being true or false since I'm not the one who created the narrative. Mutiple sources confirmed the story (all the posters who said the story was accurate). So far no poster has said, "I know for a fact that it didnt happen that way" or even, "My buddy is a booster and it's not the story he told me." I'd be happy to hear the alternate explanation and weigh which one seems more plausible.

If you say the story presented is false, that means you are saying the posters who confirmed it and said it is 100% true, including a site mod, are lying. Except it seems you dont have the balls to directly call a site mod a liar, so you are coming after me for believing that he and others are telling the truth.
