That’s all I’m saying. And all I’ve been saying for 9 months. If they’re gonna get got, they’re gonna get got early. I don’t care how talented you, that’s a LOT to replace at one time. I’m sure they’ll be really good on offense. But they’re not gonna be late in the year 2020 good in the first half of Week 1. I don’t think it’s possible. We’ll see if they make me eat my words and go up and down the field on us. I’ll be pretty surprised.

I agree. Need to stop the run and force young to beat us over the top. Kid has great accuracy but is vertically challenged. Not being able to see over the line makes deep throws more difficult. Stop the run, send pressure with a fast spy (to stop young) and let our dbacks earn their NIL money on the back end. It’s time!!!!! Let’s Fking Goooooo!!!!

I don’t think they’ll hang 45 on us and if they do I’m going to be silent as a mouse cause it will hurt me. I’m just saying there are a lot of wild takes in this thread that will get spin jobs if it were to happen

Bama will dominate LoS and control ball, then attempt to throw at will because they will be running at will.

We shall see if J Simp and T Rob have magic wands.

I agree. If they do go up and down the field on us i think it will be with their running game.
 
Im betting this Bama team plays like one of Saban earlier teams when they had Ingram and McElroy etc. I hope Diaz switches up the looks and try to make the OL and QB make mistakes. New pieces and new terminology might not be a good thing if Diaz is in prime blitz mode and bringing DB type players from all angles. I don't want just hat on hat and go straight ahead. We maybe able to play them like that since its a new season but i would not count on it.

As someone that bets on everything (this summer I’ve been hammering tennis at all hours of the day), knowing the total game is 62, whatever the 1H line is, that will likely be my biggest bet of the game… to take 1H under total points
 
They're going to run a similar scheme as last year. Heavy rpo-centric but I doubt o"Brien will call plays as well. You're wasting your time if you think he'll be running his offense from Penn St or Houston. Maybe if this was Alabama 2012 version. I do expect to see more 2 TE sets. One because their Wrs are much weaker and TE is a bit stronger. I expect them to be a little more conservative. That doesn't mean they won't throw it around. It just means it might be playaction or quick rpo to the outside or in-between the safeties and lbs. It'll probably be a more simplified version of last year's offense blended with some of O'Briens concepts

He's for sure gonna utilize the tight ends. Obviously that should worry any Miami fan given our youth at the LB position and poor history defending tight ends (though not so much recently).

This is the truth, given that our offensive identity in 2020 was out of 12 personnel for most of the games. Jahleel Billingsley played a huge role after Waddle went down in our passing attack. Cameron Latu also had a big spring game. With this Alabama team being blessed with incredible running back depth I suspect that O'Brien will continue with the double tight end look this season.
