I've mentioned before, but outside of Texas and Texas ATM, the SEC really are some broke boys.

They can't compete with the BIG 10 schools money wise, and if the ACC schools REALLY committed, it wouldn't be close.

It's one of the major reasons the SEC is freaking out about NIL and speed rushing to a super conference. Their dominance has already diminished in the NIL world and it'll only slide further as the spending wars gear up.

What box was he in? I’m in and out of a couple boxes on the Miami side, never heard about him being there. Most notable person was the governor.
 
Alabama made a bad hire when replacing Saban.

Simple.

Who should they have hired is up for debate.

Dabo? Nah. Although he seems an obvious choice to many.
Someone from the Saban tree? Kiffin? Nah. Mario? **** Nah.
Any of his rehab projects? Nah.
Urban Meyer? Oh geez nah. Too toxic even for $EC.

Need someone who commands respect. Does not have be a tyrant. Someone with legit HC-CEO chops and understands how CFB is changing and has a vision. He can hire coordinators and staff for the Xs/Os.

Bama and fans also need to understand Saban's run will never be replicated and likely not even close.

F-BAMA and F-$EC though.

He’s suggesting theyre struggling on the field because they don’t have the cash to acquire adequate talent. Which is bull**** b/c they are still recruiting at an elite level. Whether or not they get a discount is irrelevant. It’s an excuse.

Very strange some are choosing to associate with him, maybe some of the players he paid back then are boys with him now, but Don Sol is the last guy I thought I'd see with Nevin.

It was the late 90's early 2000's **** was different, maybe they look at him like every other booster that paid players under the table, but this wasn't a Cadillac dealership this was $930Mil embezzled then blown on yachts coke escorts and alcohol for the players. Not that every other University had their hands clean but good Lord the guy served 20 years and is the scum of the earth I don't care how much he loves UM
