Al Golden asked for his message to recruits: "We got beat last night in all three phases." Says UM has made progress in last 6 weeks.

Golden, asked where the proof of progress is: "We've got to get ready for Pittsburgh. None of this is going to help us do it."

Not even he can bull**** his way out of it :rickflair2:

All the signs of a ship on fire are there. Been here too many times over that last decade to deny it.

Hes making progress on finding the best buffet in Coral Gables- Fat **** should hang himself with that orange tie

Progress in the last 6 weeks? No, we haven't. How many times is he going to say it over and over again and not get called on it by the media? Can't someone just say, "You're lying." Can't someone just say, "that's not true." Can't someone just say, "progress doesn't mean you lose to Virginia by 17." "Progress doesn't mean you're 3-4 in the ACC."

I don't care what the final score was. It could have been 30-29, he's still a fat piece of ****, and we still got our asses handed to us.

Golden didn't really answer the first two questions about progress of program in four years and current message to recruits.

Why should he answer. There hasn't been any progress

That hasn't stopped him in the past. Maybe he just needs more time to dig up a favorable statistic or two to show progress. He'll find a moral victory or two after watching the film. There's a moral victory in every loss!

He really looked like a defeated man in last nights post game.

It looked like, maybe for the first time, he began to actually doubt his own bs.

Sports "journalists" becoming propagandists for Head Coaches in return for access is nothing new...Remember %$#@tard Petrino freaking out about the female journalist with the Gator hat at one of his press conferences? Or SubUrban Meyer acting like he was going to kick a repoters *** in a video? Until they resign for their next gig or they are fired, they act like demi-gods. Look, most of their peers who start coaching don't make squat over their careers and retire ignominiously. These guys are like a lot of Generals and Admirals; they politicked, stole other's ideas and made them their own, and backstabbed, backstabbed, backstabbed to the top. They feel they have earned unquestioning loayalty from their staff, players and THEIR media. Other than a small number of sites and blogs, such as Deadspin and Awful Announcing, the media are obediant lapdogs, terrified they will lose access and lose out to competitors (and lose their job to boot). As Usual, Marky Mark and the NCAA Funky Bunch don't care about serious issues like this, they have impermissible cream cheese on a bagel issues to investigate for three years while tampering with Federal Bankruptcy court proceedings.

As I wrote a while back on CIS, we are at Peak College Football, the only way to go is down...
