that's a possibility. But I am leaning more towards Donna lied to him about the ncaa investigation and she didn't want to be the one to fire him. Sounds just like something Donna would do.
 
Al Golden is a great salesman. As of now he cant coach himself out of a paper bag. He has a year .

We are perpetually young and apparently practiced on a dirt field all these years.

Given Al's horrific attrition rate the team will always be young. Only a few stay and the best leave for NFL early.

The problem is not that Al is a salesman who hits his talking points. That is a good thing for a coach who is representing a brand. The problem is that Al doesn't back up the talk.
